Joven's pov

Mari and Wes have been outside with me for 30 minutes now comforting me. I was able to stop crying finally. Ian walks out the door "what are you guys doing ?"

I turn to face him "sorry Ian they were out here making me feel better"

Ian goes from being boss to my friend "oh Joven well what's wrong ? I can tell you've been crying"

Shit. It's ok I'll make up a lie "oh family problems"

Ian asked "do you need the rest of the day off ? you only have 2 hrs left anyway"

I smile weakly "thanks Ian. You know you are the best boss ever "

He hugs me and says "I hope everything turns out ok. Wes and Mari, Joven needs some support, do y'all want the rest of the day off to so he doesn't feel alone"

They agree to it. We head back up to pack up and leave. I ignore lasercorn questions as to why we are leaving. Ive had enough of him for one day...

The 3 of us get back to mine and wes's place and sit on the couch

"Josh do you want to watch a movie to get your mind off things or maybe we can  go out tonight ?" Mari asked

I reply "actually yeah let's watch a movie and then when all of our other friends are off work we can all get drinks together"

Wes says "sounds good to me" and Mari agrees...

We spend the next hour and 40 mins watching a movie. Then 8 pm rolled around and I texted everyone except lasercorn and invited them all to go drinking with us. We met up at the local bar called Gordon's

Flitz, Ian, Anthony and Matt aka sohinki showed up.

We were all sitting at the table and the waiter comes up and takes our order. He was tall, muscular, had brown eyes and dark brown hair. Had a little bit of facial hair. He was hot and I could have swore I saw him checking me out. But that thought left my head immediately when he walked away from our table. Why would anyone want me ?

Mari saw me checking him out "you should ask him to dance"

I shake my head "no"

Everybody at the table looks at me and Mari. Matt said "you totally should joven"
Yeah me being gay isn't exactly a secret. Its better being myself than hiding who I am.

I respond "no besides he's probably not even gay"

Anthony replied "lets find out. He's comming this way"

I get nervous. Usually when Anthony has something planned he starts his schemes with the words let's find out. The waiter comes back and and I begin to get flustered. He's the definition of beautiful.

He makes it to our table and Anthony puts me in the spotlight "excuse me EJ. That's what your name tag says. My friend Joven here wanted to ask you something"

My eyes grew wide and I was speechless. Anthony I am going to kill you. The handsome guy looks at me with an amazing smile. He has dimples to. He is so cute. I stumble over my words a bit and panic "what kind of salad do you guys have ?"

He looks kind of sad like he was expecting something else. He replied "just Caesar salad"

And he walked away. Everyone is looking at me like I'm stupid. So I begin sipping on my beer. Feeling the buzz come creeping in.

After that debacle everyone at the table carried on small talk. Till it got to about 10 o'clock. Then as if on cue when you think things can't get any worse lasercorn walks in with a short redhead. I put my head into my arms and feel like crying again....
