I sighed, tired from the tests as I dragged myself towards the lunch room. Tomiko walking beside me. During the time between the test, I made friends with a few girls: Mina Ashido, Kyoka Jiro, Momo Yaoyorozu being those girls. As for the guys, the only ones who I could actually stand were Izuku Midoriya and Tenya Iida.

"So, are you gonna eat with your boyfriend?" Tomiko teased, looking over at me with a grin.

My cheeks began heating up and I spoke, "He's not my boyfriend, and yes I am going to eat with him," I responded, not having enough energy to smile.

"Whatever you say, Hikawa," She teased as we entered the Lunch Rush Cafeteria.

Loud clamouring greeted my ears and I pushed my ears out to the side. I looked around the Café for the familiar messy purple hair. "You look ahead, but never to the side this time around, Hikawa," Hitoshi's voice met my ears.

Immediately my ears shot up as I perked up and looked to the side. I saw Hitoshi standing there, his hands in his pockets as he looked at me. "Hitoshi!" I smiled brightly, "I haven't seen you in forever!" I whined out.

"You look tired, Hikawa," He informed, scanning my face.

"Its cause I am. I'm sorry I wasn't at the orientation. My jackass of a teacher deci-"

"I know," He muttered, "Everyone in this damn school knows it," He sounded angry with me.

My ears immediately flattened against my head as I looked at him, "Hitoshi.." I began, "Are-are you angry at me?" I asked quietly.

He cocked a brow before shaking his head, "No, I'm not," He was lying. I could tell.

I felt guilty about it. I lowered my head and my tail droped to the floor. I heard Hitoshi sigh quietly before he grabbed my arm and lead me out the cafeteria. Once we were a ways away from the crowded room he spoke, "I'm not angry with you, Kaede. Okay? I don't want those arrogant people changing who you are," He murmured.

My ears shot up at the word arrogant, amd my pupils turned to slits so thin you could hardly see them. Hitoshi quickly released his grasp on my arm and backed up a bit. "Arrogant?" I snapped, folding my arms over my chest, "Those are my classmates, Shinso," I spat out, "And I can tell you right now, after spending a good portion of the day with them, that they are far from arrogant. Besides Bakugo, but that's different,"

"Hikawa, you know that not what I meant," He defended himself, "I just-" He cut off, and I could see the irritation in his face as he rubbed his temples. "Just forget it," He muttered before walking off. He wasn't going back to the cafeteria.

"Hitoshi?" I called out, "Hitoshi! Where are you going?" I asked, quickly following him.

"To get food," He responded with a shrug.

Irritated, I ran towards him and jumped onto his back. He let out a surprised grunt and stumbled forward a bit before regaining his balance. "Wh-what the hell are you doing, Hikawa?" He asked, turning his head to look at me.

"Take me with you, Purple Man," I informed, a smile growing onto my lips.

"I thought you were mad at me?" He questioned.

"No, I'm tired and cranky," I replied.

He rolled his eyes before adjusting me on his back and gripping my thighs as he walked. I smiled happily and rested my chin on his shoulder, letting my eyes close as he walked. Before I knew it, I drifted off to sleep leaning against him.

"Hey, wake up," Hitoshi's voice woke me up and I realized that I was sitting in a booth.

I blinked a few times before looking around, there was found in front of each of us. I smiled softly, seeing as he had ordered my favourite food for me as well as his own.

"You didn't have to feed me, you know," I informed as we both picked up the utensils from off the table.

"Its fine, Hikawa, I wanted to. Besides, it'll make you less cranky," He shrugged his shoulders and began eating.

My cheeks heated up in embarrassment, he wasn't wrong. I loved food, and it would easily help calm me down if I was cranky. We ate in silence until an old couple stopped at our table.

"Aren't you kids supposed to be in school?" The woman asked with a kind smile on her lips.

I smiled nervously, but Hitoshi spoke before me, "We're just out for some lunch," He informed, his voice surprisingly gentle towards the elderly woman.

The woman's lips quirked upwards and a rather mischevious look gathered in her blue eyes, "A lunch date, I see," She smiled.

Immediately, my cheeks went into multiple shades of red yet known to the human world, "WHA?! N-No! Not a date! Just some lunch!" I loudly exclaimed, waving my arms around.

Hitoshi's face was the equivalent to mine and the old woman let out a gentle, wheezing laugh. "Relax, child, I'm only playing with you. Enjoy your lunches dear," And with that she was off with her husband.

I let out an embarrassed groan and slouched in my seat, rubbing my temples, "That's the fourth time this year," I complained.

Hitoshi suddenly looked at me, his eyes peering into my body as he spoke, "I figured by now you'd be use to that, seeing as it happens so often," He informed a bit dully as he began to eat.

I crossed my legs and shrugged my shoulders, a lighter blush gathering on my cheeks, "W-well, uhm. I-I'm kind of use to it," I began, his eyes flicked up towards me and I found myself growing nervous, "B-But you can't say anything, Hitoshi!" I quickly called him out.

His cheeks reddened slightly and he took a moment before cleared his throat and spoke, "I...I wouldn't mind it, if I'm being honest," He admitted.

"H-HUH?" I exclaimed, my cheeks going into multiple shades of reds as I hid my face from him.

I snuck a look at him through my hands, seeing his red cheeks as he looked away, rubbing his neck, "I..I mean, we could...I, we," He was nervous?

The Hitoshi Shinso the guy who's always emotionless and blunt, was nervous. I slowly found a grin tugging at my lips and slowly lowered my hands.

Hitoshi suddenly sighed and looked at his food, "Maybe we should..go on a date. Of sorts. J-Just the two of us," He explained, "To test the waters and see if we're compatible for each other in relationship as we are friendship,"

Hitoshi's cheeks were a deep shade of red and he would glance at me every so often. My cheeks were burning in embarrassment, and my ears were sticking straight up while my tail swayed behind me. "J-Just think about it, Hikawa," He mumbled as he began eating once more.

I took a few more bites of food. Did I want to go on a date with him? Was this pity I was feeling? My stomach was turning in knots as I would still the occasional glance at Hitoshi while ate in what was now a comfortable silence. My cheeks would burn as I thought more about this.

Taking a deep breath I put on a big smile, catching Hitoshi's attention, "Let's go on that date you were talking about," I smiled brightly at him whilst my tail swayed back and fourth happily.
