Chapter 25

Everyone was celebrating in their heads when suddenly something came flying into the window causing the glass to shatter and fly everywhere. A piece went flying at me as I went to grab it only for sand to come in front of me protecting me. I looked at it shocked as did Gaara, the shock quickly went when the girl began to lead everyone out of the room. I quickly got up and went to my team who was waiting for me outside. 'How strange..' I thought before becoming shocked at the new proctors outfit. 'So revealing' I thought facing somewhere else refusing to look at her.

"Ohh Forest of Death..." I say really wanting to see what's inside, I could feel the sparkles and happiness radiating off me as everyone else was completely silent. I was so into what's in the forest that I didn't notice everyone getting interviewed. Then Moegi came and started to ask me questions about the exams and my team mates. "Naruto can be crazy and annoying but he's a kind person and I believe one day he might become our future Hokage. Sakura and I may not get along that great but hopefully one day she realises the importance of others that aren't Sasuke. Sasuke well is Sasuke, he may seem cold at first but-" I said but got cut off when Sasuke grabbed me and dagged me off to the tents. "Bye Mai!" Moegi said waving at me as I waved back at her before turning to Sasuke with an innocent smile. "Yes Ni-san?" I whispered innocently momentarily forgetting that he can't see my face.

"Hn... Let's go get our scroll" he mumbled before dragging me to another tent to where Naruto and Sakura were waiting. As we got closer to the gates, I felt a chilling wind shoot through me. 'I don't like this' I thought looking at Sasuke. 'Kid your right, there's something off here' Shikoku said confirming my feelings. 'Let's just keep an eye out' I thought as we waited for the time. The time finally came and the gate opened, causing us to start leaping through the gate. I suddenly stopped feeling the air around me, trying to sense if there is anyone nearby. "Mai what's wrong?" Sasuke asked jumping back near me. "S-Something isn't right Sasuke. Even from this distance, the bloodlust and smell of death is so thick. We need a plan" I said as the others came back. They all looked expectantly at me as I quickly sat down thinking of a plan.

"We need to put some dummy scrolls on Naruto and Sasuke as we might come across an hostage situation" I said standing up and looking at the ground for any sticks. "You seem pretty nervous Mai" Sakura said rubbing her neck, I nodded at her. "I have this bad feeling and it's almost suffocating" I said as I picked up some sticks before putting a genjutsu on them and passing them to Naruto then Sasuke. "Naruto give Sasuke the real one then we'll head on in" I said as they did their business and we kept going. 'I almost want to have shadow clones to scout the area..' I thought before 'No I'm being too careful' before shaking my head. We continued for a bit longer only to hear blood curdling screams causing us all to stop instantly. I watched as Naruto and Sakura shook a bit, I watched them until I felt someone touch my shoulder. I almost jumped but was relieved when it was Sasuke. "Calm down Mai, I can hear your heartbeat and your brain ticking" Sasuke whispered as I shook my head and thought about the plan.

"That's close-by so we need to move fast if we wanna miss the enemy" I thought surprised when I sounded super calm. " I need to pee" Naruto suddenly said as he was crossing his legs. "Well be quick Naruto, we need to move as soon as possible" I said as I continued looking around sensing for any chakra. I almost screamed in shock when Naruto went to pull down his pants. Sasuke being fast covered my eyes with his hands and Sakura used this chance to bonk him on the head. "Baka! There are ladies present!" Sakura yelled at him as he mumbled in pain. "Go to a bush Naruto.." Sasuke said I felt him grow a tick mark at Naruto.
