Chapter 30

I clutched my neck in pain as the pain soared throughout my body. "Why can't I use any Jutsu's without pain?!" I yelled frustrated banging the ground which held the seed. I felt tears escape my eyes as I looked at the seed. 'Brat, when you used the copied Jutsu did you get pain?' Shikoku said as I thought back remembering that I didn't get any pain. 'Maybe it was because you were concentrating hard brat or maybe it's on and off' Shikoku said while I just nodded my head. " I thought learning all these Jutsus I'll be useful but the only thing I did this whole time was be useful at passing out or kidnapped" I said bitterly. " I learnt all these weapons to become strong, strong enough for Itachi. Maybe even stronger.." I continued looking up at the moon and stars. 'I miss you Ni-San...' I thought sadly hoping to see him again one day.

I was grabbing my seed when screams were heard from our camp causing me to quickly run back hoping Orochimaru isn't there. I quickly come back to find Kabuto from the first exams stopping Naruto and Sakura. "Why are you here Kabuto?" I asked my arm ready to grab my Katana. "Stopping your team from being eliminated, These two were just about to open the scroll" Kabuto said adjusting his glasses. I stiffened understanding why Naruto would but Sakura too? I slowly walked up to them unsheathing my Katana and using the handle to bonk them on the heads. "Bakas, lucky Kabuto stopped you both or who knows what would have happened!" I shout as Sasuke came out of no where staring at Kabuto wearily.

Kabuto and Sasuke began to have their conversation but I didn't listen as I was focusing on other Chakras nearby. Every since the sound ninja incident I've felt watched but whenever I feel the chakra it went as quick as it came. I looked down at the glass gourd seeing it swirl around in what seemed like delight. I smiled as it kept going as I let go of it before listening into the group again. "Can we accompany you Kabuto?" Sakura asked while the others nodded, 'I don't like him but we have no choice' I thought as he led the way to the tower. We continued walking as everyone walked ahead of me, I kept quiet trying to think properly. I thought about many things, this exam, Kabuto and what his true intentions are, where Itachi is, Why Sasuke seemed distant and almost feeling the hatred radiating off him, How the Hokage is going to react to this cursed Mark. I knew what it was as I have seen this before being on many missions. 'Kid look at your surroundings' Shikoku said causing me to snap back to reality only to find out that we're in a genjutsu.

"Guys we're in a genjutsu" I said as they looked at me surprised I finally spoke to them before Sasuke agreed. "Hn seems we are" Sasuke said as he looked at me. As soon as we said that all these clones came out of the random areas causing us to look around shocked. "It's the same one that copied Naruto" I say as I grab my Bo out twirling it with my fingers before going into position. I was too busy watching what was in front of me that I didn't notice the barrage of kunais coming from behind. "Mai! Look out!" Naruto called causing Sasuke and I to turn around. I tried covering myself expecting the pain when Kabuto's clone jumped infront and took the hit. "T-Thanks" I stutter shocked that I didn't sense anything like I used to. 'Could it be the curse Mark?' I thought now focusing on the enemy again.

I watched in shock as Naruto punched the clone only for black goo to coat his hand, followed by another clone coming out of the hole where he punched causing Naruto to jump away. I looked at my arm in shock as a cut appeared from no where causing me to look back at the directions. I saw a clone holding kunai smirking sickly causing me to shiver before looking at the wound. 'Nothing serious but this many clones may be a problem' I thought trying to come up with a plan. More Kunais came as I tried to dodge them but some still managed to cut through. Naruto then tackled me into the bushes causing me to scream in shock at what he's doing. Naruto held up his hand in a shh like position before doing the shadow clone jutsu signs. I stayed in the bush as he slowly brought everyone here then going out with their clones.

I couldn't help but smile at how strong Naruto has come since the academy days. I couldn't help but feel a ping of proudness since I've always watched him since we were young.
