~Niyo's POV~
The person stepped from the shadowy safety of the thick trees and into the clearing where Tobirama-sama and I were. I knew who it was and I knew what they wanted.
"Ah Niyo, long time no see." The woman smirked, getting more of her shuriken out.
"You just attacked me a few weeks ago, I wouldn't say 'long time'." I spat back, getting my sword ready.
"Who are you and what business do you have here?!" Tobirama asked, probably at the edge of his patience not getting answers. I rolled my eyes.
"Ara, Niyo. Who is he? And he doesn't know?" The woman laughed maniacally, then directed her attention at the Senju when she was sure I would not answer. "Why, hasn't she told you about her sister? From the Tanogata clan? No?"
"Enough!" I threw a few shuriken of my own at her, making her step away and further back from the clearing. I did not want her to be spilling things about me, especially to this stuck-up Senju. Then I pointed at Tobirama, who was staring at me, probably making sense of and connecting what my 'sister' just said, "and you! Stay out of this. I don't need your help anymore."
And it began.
~Tobirama's POV~
So Niyo belongs to the Tanogata clan. She had some nerve telling me to stay put. What was this woman thinking? Charging into battle like that? I could aid her but when I looked in her general direction, she seemed to be taking care of herself quite well.
What was this business of Tanogata that they sent Niyo's sister after her? And she said they attacked her a few weeks ago as well? Why did that happen? Why did I not know about this? Did anija know?
I was following the battle in case things got out of Niyo's hands and if they threatened the village's safety. Then suddenly, I remembered that I felt two presences, so where was the other? I increased my sensory range but that proved unnecessary as the second person was approaching at top speed to the location the same time Niyo started overpowering her sister. I would admit, she was capable.
"Leave." Niyo ordered, pointing her sword at her sister's throat, who grinned and spat some blood at Niyo's shoes. "I gave you a choice." Saying this, the woman raised her sword to bring it down but was forced to take a different course for deflecting the kunai that was aimed at her from the thick of the forests. The other woman took this chance to move away from Niyo as more shuriken followed the solitary kunai. I deflected them for her, assuming a second attacked to be too much of a challenge for her.
"You should have listened to Makiko and come quietly, Niyo." The newcomer said, appearing in the clearing as well.
"Why are you here brother?!" The sister asked, furious and scared all of a sudden. Niyo was just unfazed like she knew this would happen.
"Father knew of your failure of last time and the one before that so he sent me to retrieve Niyo. Hehe." I narrowed my eyes. Retrieve?
"I am no one's possession to be thrown away and picked up as they please. I will give you both a chance to leave now and never return." Niyo warned, readying her stance. I would have to step in this time, two opponents for one woman.
"Here's our answer." The brother said and they both threw more than a few dozen weapons at Niyo, who dodged and deflected them all and their battle began again. I began asking myself the reason for not interfering and could not find any answer.
The battle dragged on for half an hour until Niyo started tiring. I took a step out of where I was keeping stealth but a glare from the woman had me stop. Why would she not let me help her? And why was I listening to her in the first place?
"Augh!" The brother stabbed her in the left shoulder and pushed Niyo against a tree, so the sister could tie her. That was enough.
"Suiton: Suishouha!" The water wave separated the siblings and I made my way to Niyo.
"T-thank you." I was shocked to hear words of gratitude from her but she was injured though not letting it take a toll on her. She yanked the words out of her shoulder and threw it away. "Now let's get this over with."
This woman was fierce. She was hurt and tired but that did not give her an excuse to sit out the battle. But one thing troubled me. Could she not use ninjutsu? Regardless, I followed her lead and attacked the siblings and battling them head on made me realize what strength Niyo possessed to have taken them both on at the same time.
Niyo was skilled with the sword and the sister started panicking when Niyo overpowered her again and her mistake was a wrong move, because of that, Niyo lodged her sword in the sister's lower torso. There was blood but more than that, the look of horror on the sister was greater than any pain she was going through.
"YOU MURDERER!" Niyo's sister yelled and the brother realized what had happened. He took the sister by the arm and they both escaped.
