Chapter 22

~Niyo's POV~

Ok so this was a trap. I knew it but I still proceeded with the plan because I was confident in my ability to stop it before it had the chance of being played out.

"Tobirama," I got the Senju's attention with my eyes fixed on Kyouya, "make sure she doesn't run away."

"Where are you going?" He asked when I was about to jump out of the window opposite to the door we barged in from.

"She's planted bombs here in this town. I need to go and disarm them." Having said that, I myself realized that I was in no condition to do anything, let alone locating and disarming bombs that might explode in my face the minute I try to neutralize them.

"How do you know that?"

"Because I know how she thinks."

"Oh she's so smart isn't she? You would never find it in time~" Kyouya laughed. I sighed and got off the window ledge and walked back to the body on the floor.

"Oh yes, I am smart." I said pulling out some senbon and pierced them in the woman's skin to forcibly block her tenketsu. "See? Now you can't explode."

I moved again to go and look for the bombs but once glance down on the ground and I realized it was a bigger task than I could accomplish in my current state. So I asked Tobirama for help.

"I suggest we let your team watch over her and look for the bombs, dividing the force?"

"I will hiraiishin her to Saru." And he did.

The next bit was a problem though. "We won't find out the bombs till moments before they explode. That's what happened in the forest. And if it's planted in a person, I don't have enough practice and experience to disarm it."

"In that case," he put his hand on my arm and when he removed it, I had one of his hiraiishin marking.

"That will work. I will send up a signal." Once we agreed upon the plan, we both moved out in the opposite directions, scouting the area for not only objects that could be considered bombs but also people. I was using chakra I did not have and that will become a pain once all this is over, I knew it.

I was getting a feeling that the explosion would happen soon and that made me desperate to find it before it happened and result to that, I was making mistakes. The first mistake was that I overlooked one possibility that if Kyouya made a human time-bomb then it would go off somewhere there are a lot of people and currently, majority of the population of this town was towards the building we apprehended Kyouya in. I quickly headed there, thinking of my second mistake, that it was Kyouya we were talking about, if she had the nerve to blast her own daughter then she wouldn't hesitate taking another child's life, so I needed to look for a child who showed the same behavior as Shizu.

I arrived at the building and sure enough almost every person from this town was gathered there, celebrating something. This would take a lot time, searching on my own so I asked the locals if they knew about a kid who seemed out of it lately and said that I was a doctor and I could help. Most of the people didn't know but one lady did.

"Oh you mean Tomura? Poor kid, never been the same since he got lost a week ago."

"Do you know where I can find him? It is important that I find him as soon as possible." I pressed.

"Why sure, let me take you to Nana." And the lady escorted me but she was slow and I was in quite a hurry so once she stopped, I looked around and spotted a little boy, maybe four or five years of age, with blank eyes and a vacant look on his face and I knew that it was him.

I spared no time in securing the kid in my arms and signaling Tobirama my location. He arrived almost instantly. The women and some others around them had starting protesting when I just took the kid and made a run for it, thinking that I must be a kidnapper or something. But when the Senju arrived, he quickly took notice of the situation and teleported us to a safe distance away from the town, where his students were as well.

"Sensei!" The three of them were gathered in one place, abandoning the perimeter, maybe they were ordered to do so.

"It's him." I told Tobirama and laid the kid down on the grassy field and stepped back, giving the Senju space to work. I had my senses on for the whole time Tobirama was working and towards the end, I felt him overpower the kid with his chakra and because I was practically looking into it way too much, I felt its crushing effects as well.

"He's ok now." The Senju said and I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and sat down on the ground, relaxing at the climax of things.

But was it the climax?
