~Niyo's POV~

Everybody was cheering loudly when Tobirama removed his boushi and addressed the whole of Konoha in a speech – his Hokage speech. The mantle was passed today, from Hashirama-sama to Tobirama and while there were some people who didn't like the change, almost everybody was happy and felt secure at the thought that it was once again a Senju responsible for their protection. I should have been up there on the roof of the Hokgae-tower with my husband but I preferred the view from down among the common people and that, once again, resulted in Hiruzen being appointed my bodyguard.

"What do you think Hiruzen? Will people really accept Tobirama as the Hokage?" I asked moving out of the suffocating crowd and making my way to the dango shop.

"Now that you ask about it, I think the Uchiha will have the hardest time..." I nodded. "Where are you going? You are supposed to go home and rest."

"A small stop for dango never hurt anybody. Come on." I ordered the dango and some tea, enjoyed them in peace then had to go home when Hiruzen literally started dragging me. "Lighten up, what Tobirama doesn't know, he can't get angry about. Besides, it's not like he'd already be back, the ceremony is hella long."

"Still!" I waved him and walked in the Senju compound with the Sarutobi on my tail making sure I really do stay.

"You were supposed to be back right away." I stopped in my tracks and looked up at the tree where the voice came from.

"Fuck."

"Saru you were supposed to bring her back soon after."

"It's not his fault, I wanted dango." I interjected before my bodyguard had the chance to be scolded and stood in front of him as Tobirama jumped from the tree. "And you did promise me some freedom if I behaved and rested till the ceremony, so, I guess that makes it legit."

"Fine, you win." I did a fake victory cheer and resumed my walk. Both the men were talking about something and I didn't want to know what it was so I just went ahead and left them alone.

It was true that when I told Tobirama about my inability to mould chakra he was extra rigid with my rest, even went to the lengths of making me extremely angry at him just to make sure I was well rested. Yes, I resented him those days, even hurt him saying he was being controlling just like all the other men but he was patient with my insults.

I made myself some tea and while it was brewing changed out of the kimono I was supposed to wear for the ceremony and out on a loose shirt and shorts. It was going to be winter soon but it wasn't affecting me yet and I was taking full advantage of the situation. I liked winters. I untied my hair and sat near the window enjoying the cool breeze. The sun was only just setting and I did not want to sleep considering all I have been doing these past few days was just sleep. Hashirama- sama moved out of the compound so it was a lot quiet with him not being here.

"You'll catch a cold." I felt the blanket being draped on my shoulders and sighed.

"It's hot with the blanket, let me pull out a futon." I got up and adjusted my bed on the porch. "This is better, neither cold not hot."

"I still have some work to do, so go ahead and sleep." I pouted but shrugged and felt the tiredness once my head hit the pillow. The medicines were heavy and the fatigue was hitting me double without my chakra as a backup energy source.

The light in my eyes was the thing that woke me up, well the cold air too but it was pleasant unlike the sunlight that was irritating. I pulled the blanket over my head and tried going back to sleep but there was another thing that disturbed it, shuffling of papers, which shouldn't have been that loud but it was to my currently sensitive ears.

"Ohayou." I nodded to the greeting from my husband with my eyes still closed, turning my head in his direction based on where the voice came from.

"What time is it? Shouldn't you be at the office?" I asked with my eyes still closed as I tried standing up but lost my balance badly and fell back. "Ugh."

"I am working from here since I don't trust you enough that you would stay and rest if left unsupervised." I opened my eyes at this to give Tobirama a look but when I glanced at him, I laughed.

"Whoever did that is a genius!" His hair were tied on either day in spiky bundles. He looked good.

"Tsuna was here. I wonder where she went." He looked around him for a while then relaxed and picked up a scroll and started working on it. I assumed he located her chakra.

"Bless you Tsunade."

"Go back to sleep, it's still early."

"Yeah ok."

~Tobirama's POV~

"Jii-chaaann!" Tsuna appeared running and clung to my shoulders. "I'm sleepy."

"Come here." I moved my arms to make place for her in my lap. She was comfortable there for a while before shifting and getting up.

"Too cold." She looked around for something warm perhaps then ran to where Niyo was sleeping. I was going to stop her but she was fast. She slipped under the covers and laid down close to Niyo who stirred awake from the movement. By how I have seen Niyo be like around children, I expected her to kick Tsuna out of the bed but she just put her arm around the child's small body, kissed her head and went back to sleep, smiling.

She had changed a lot as well.
