~Niyo's POV~
"Ohayou gozaimasu." I greeted politely and received an equally polite answer.
"Ohayou."
Before he could take the chair that was too close to my bed, I pushed it away with my foot and gestured with my hand, for him to sit there, all the time concentrating on polishing my sword that I had neglected after the battle.
"How is your wound?"
"Better, thanks to Hashirama-sama." I sighed when the words from Tobirama ended coming. "You can interrogate me. This is why you are here." I smiled at the awkwardness from the white haired man when he cleared his throat at my permission.
"It wasn't anija's intention to have you answer our questions but since the attack was close to the village, something has to be done."
I nodded. "It would have been strange if you hadn't still made a move."
"Still?"
"These attacks have been going on for quite a few years now and some have been close to Konoha. I have been able to keep them away and asked Hokage-sama to not interfere but to listen to an outsider woman in the matters of his village, he really is naïve -"
"Watch what you say." I was warned which had me give Tobirama a strict look.
"If you start trusting everyone, there will be no village left to protect." That quieted him. "Those people, they were my siblings from Tanogata clan. They abandoned me when I was born because they didn't need another daughter, already having four. So I was taken in by Morinome." I turned my sword to now polish the other side before continuing. "The very first time I was contacted was nine years ago, it was only Makiko then, the eldest sister. They sent an invite for me back to the clan because they had apparently 'made a mistake' by casting me out. Bacchan though, knew something was off and forbade me from leaving. I trust her more than anybody so I obeyed. When the summons were rejected, the first attack came. The clan head considered the failure to bring me back my sister's fault and so it was made her mission. They had married off the youngest sister in another clan to secure convenience but she died because they were brutes and savages and so, after her death, they demanded another bride and if their request was not met with, they threatened to nullify the alliance."
"That's where you come in."
"Exactly. This was nine years ago. After just one attack I understood why they wanted me. I didn't want to fight my own sister, let alone hurt her but I had no choice. The joy of having found my real family turned into anger when I realized their plots. Sometimes Makiko would attack me alone, sometimes some of the clansmen would accompany her, or they were mercenaries, I don't really know. I had been able to ward off any harm they meant to me or Morinome, until.... Takumi showed up as well. Him being there meant that another of my sisters had died and that now my retrieval was absolutely necessary. I wouldn't have been able to fight off both of them alone so I will thank you again for helping me. It's highly likely that they will send another group to get me. I know it's selfish of me to put so many in danger but to treat a human being as a possession, that is something I will never forgive. I would suggest you tighten security around the gates, outside of them, I can handle whoever shows up."
Tobirama was deep in thought. I didn't pester him for an answer and reached for the sheath to put my sword in it and place it away with the things I used to polish it with.
"With that wound you won't be able to fight off anyone for at least a week or two. I will consult with my brother to provide security for the forest as well. Meanwhile, the Tanogata clan is going to receive their first and last warning." He said, standing up.
"I can easily take care-"
"You might be, depending on the number of people and their strength. What will you do when they start killing off people close to you to get to you? You talked about hating people being treated as possessions, so is it ok for them to be checkpoints for your enemies to get to you?!" The look I received was severe. I was a sensory type and the medicines I was taking, made me more sensitive to chakra changes and right now, Tobriama's chakra was crushing mine.
Quite unexpected of normal people, not of me, I glared back at the Senju with equal ferocity. "I know I am still lacking in taijutsu, but nobody gets through me when I resort to ninjutsu. Don't assume my weakness just because you can look down at me right now." I spat back. "And nobody has died yet. You might want to stop and think, how."
"Hn." Tobirama smirked, calling his chakra back. I unconsciously slumped in relief and that didn't go unnoticed by him. "I will take your word for it since you managed to withstand my chakra, though I will still post some guards here."
"Oi-"
"I will visit again." He said and left.
Tch.
