Wei Wuxian looked behind him, a small...dog...was chasing him around. Why you ask? Well, the dog thought that he 'stole' its meat.

"I did not steal your meat! I buy it! I really do!" Tears streamed down Wei Wuxian's eyes.

Why was Jiang Cheng not there you ask? Well, the record breaking tsundere uncle decided to ditch his adopted brother the moment he cried for help. Let me replay what had happened earlier to you...

"Jiang Cheng! Jiang Cheng! Did you see that delicious meat? I'm going to buy some, do you want it too?" Wei Wuxian pointed at a nearby stall.

"Sure, go buy some with your own money. Don't bother buying me any though," Jiang Cheng waved a hand, "I don't like wasting money like you."

Wei Wuxian grinned as he teased Jiang Cheng a few times before walking to the stall.

However, to his surprise, the owner of the stall had a stray dog following him. Wei Wuxian's face darkened as it took all his willpower to not run away for life right now.

'Yes! For a piece of delicious meat!' Wei Wuxian nodded, 'I will even let old man Lan tell me to copy that...damned book of rules for this delicious meat!'

Too bad, this meat wasn't as delicious as he thought it was...

And to think that the stray dog started to chase him as if he was its father's murderer...no, the dog is chasing him as if he was its ancestor's grave robber!

"Jiang Cheng! Jiang Cheng! Help me!" he ran towards his brother, who dodged so he fell on the ground.

"Save yourself, who told you to eat meat from random stalls anyways...," Jiang Cheng indifferently walked away.

Wei Wuxian didn't have the time to whine as the dog got closer. He immediately scrambled up and ran for his dear life.

"Jiang Cheng you unfilial brother!" Wei Wuxian screamed, earning a smirk from Jiang Cheng himself.

And now he was running from the dog as if he was a wanted criminal...

'Why is life so unfair? I just want a piece of meat!' Wei Wuxian lamented in his heart.

Not long after he saw a small house. The house was made of wood. It didn't seem all that...bad...

The door was slightly ajar, and one could hear faint melodies of guqin from the house. The tone was calming and beautiful. It didn't take Wei Wuxian more than a second to find out who was inside the house.

Wei Wuxian understood that the man inside the house might not like him. The house was located quite far from the GusuLan Sect. However, that man liked to be alone.

Wei Wuxian creeped inside the room, shutting the door afterwards. He could hear the dog's angry barks from behind the door. He trembled slightly as he tried to make sure that the dog wasn't there.
