Wen Ning gripped a brown envelope. Honestly, he didn't even think that Koi Entertainment would pick him to be the young idol, [l/n] [y/n] 's manager. Though he had heard that it was [y/n] himself who picked him.

The young male idol was cute. He had a pair of bright sparkly eyes and chubby pink cheeks. Honestly, he was the exact definition of a 'shota'. He had short [h/c] hair and plump rosy lips. No wonder he earned the title 'number one idol all males want to have a one night stand with', surpassing the beautiful white eyed idol A-Qing.

Wen Ning nervously fidgeted in front of [y/n]'s dressing room door. He was dressed in a professional suit, looking like a real manager. He didn't know why the young idol picked him, although he looked fairly hideous. He once caught an illness, causing black veins to appear around his neck area.

After thinking for quite some time, he finally knocked on the door, waiting for any answer from the young idol. However, he didn't get one.

"Mr. [l/n] it's me, Wen Ning," in the end, Wen Ning spoke, "I am your new manager."

Right then, the door creaked open, revealing a grumpy young man.

"I don't need a manager, I just randomly picked you!" the boy glared at Wen Ning, "You will still receive your pay, and you only need to come with me during events. Am I not nice? Now go home!"

The door shut in front of his face. He was supposed to be there when [y/n] was shooting a music video, but the idol himself didn't let him come inside the dressing room...

What kind of job did he get into?

Although [y/n] had said that, he still waited an hour until the idol came out to shoot the music video. The idol looked to his left, and jumped in surprise when he saw Wen Ning.

"W-what are you doing here?" [y/n] pointed at Wen Ning, as if accusing him.

"I'm your manager, no matter what you said, if I'm not with you all the time, how can I take care of you?" Wen Ning said.

Wen Ning was not only a patient person, but also someone who was one of Wei Wuxian, the mad scientist's successful creations. One could say, Wei Wuxian had saved him from his illness, and gave him some weird abilities that he rarely ever used.

Wei Wuxian was killed years ago though.

"I-I don't need you!" [y/n] huffed, but screamed afterwards when Wen Ning picked him up, "G-yah! Put me down!"

"We're going to be late for your music video," Wen Ning replied.

"You're my manager! You're supposed to listen to me! P-put me down!" [y/n] hit Wen Ning's back with his small hands, which didn't hurt at all. Heck, Wen Ning couldn't feel anything from that 'attack'.

Soon enough, [y/n] felt rather tired hitting Wen Ning so he huffed and crossed his arms instead, "stupid manager."

However, when they entered the shooting area, [y/n] became bubbly and active, as if shedding his 'grumpy' skin. Wen Ning felt rather...surprised, at how fast the boy changed. He swore that [y/n] was purposefully avoiding him.
