When they got some free time, Nie Huaisang dragged him over to a bookstore. They were looking for 'appreciating women' books when he walked past a book with a familiar drawing.

On the cover were various flowers arranged beautifully. However, what attracted him was the title.

Xin Hua or Heart Flower.

He didn't understand what the title meant as it was completely different from what the cover said, however, Wei Wuxian felt a strong pull. He felt that the book might hold the answers he had so long coveted.

He put the book underneath an 'appreciating women' book and told Nie Huaisang he had gotten what he wanted and would pay for them first.
