SAM WAS INTERESTED NOT ONLY IN ELENA BUT THE MYSTIC FALLS ITSELF. He knew the town which had almost every supernatural thing possible was always full of secret deaths. And for some reason the Sheriff and mayor covered it all quite well.
Just like they covered a massive Young farm's explosion with the whole council in it. The funeral was huge as expected as the whole town gathered into a nice looking church.
Sam slowly walked in to see some familiar faces though he hadn't met them yet. He saw Elena's little brother Jeremy and her first boyfriend Matt, who sat with a pale looking Elena herself. Sam knew she refused all sources of blood just because Damon told her she had to drink from the vein.
Stefan was sitting behind Elena as Sam began to walk to find an empty space. Church always made him laugh. People believing in something they had never seen or heard from. Everyone had their religion and Sam's religion was his own mind.
Tyler Lockwood and Caroline Forbes were sitting a few rows behind Stefan when they saw a tall, skinny and yet a muscular man walk past them smoothly. The couple exchanged a look as Stefan had already informed them about a mystical thing wanting to help Elena. But all got stuck in their heads was that he was a psychopath. "Stefan..." Caroline whispered but the vampire heard before turning his head to see Sam walking past him with a small smirk.
Elena also noticed Sam before turning back at Stefan with shocked eyes. "It's..."
"Before we begin the Mass, we'd like to open the floor to anyone who would like to share a memory about our late friends on the Town Council," Mrs. Lockwood, the Mayor came up to a podium as everyone from the supernatural gang ignored her words as they watched Sam sit down almost in the front row.
Caroline stared at his back before looking down.
Sam listened to Carol as he could feel Stefan trying to reach him too. "I know you said you read people. But can you read minds?" Stefan questioned under his breath as the vampire saw Sam's head turn to one side until he glanced at him from all the rows ahead.
Stefan felt shivers on his skin as Sam smirked then turned back to look at Carol. "Who the hell is he?" Matt questioned angrily as Carol began to speak.
"I know that April Young wanted to say a few words about her dad. April? April, are you still here, honey?" Carol questioned but April was gone. Sam closed his eyes for a second so he could shut out other people as he focused on April. Weird chills crossed his body and Elena felt that too.
Sam then opened his eyes before knowing that April was in trouble. He shrugged to himself, not really caring. "Is there anyone else who would like to share a recollection or a memory about Pastor Young?" Carol then asked with a nervous laugh.
