CAROLINE WAS STILL UNCONSCIOUS. Sam was standing in front of her with a dull look on his face. He was beyond angry at her for reading something only people who died had read. He wanted to kill the Forbes but couldn't. Not until he figured her mind.

The blond vampire suddenly stirred awake. Sam knew that Elena would decline his offer for help because their deal was for him not to hurt anyone. But she did read his private journal like some snooping girl.

Caroline knew everything - his weaknesses, his strengths and his own personal thoughts. Also a list of people he had killed. And it was not good for him.

"Wh..." Caroline began as she finally adjusted to the light. She moved slightly but her hands were tied behind her back to a chair. "What?"

Caroline then saw Sam standing in front of her. He looked different. He wasn't wearing a suit - something she had always seen him in. He wore a white t-shirt and black jeans that made him look incredibly fit. If he wasn't a psycho Caroline would've definitely been attracted to him.

The place they were in was bright as Caroline looked around. They weren't in some basement or a shed, they were just in some garage. "Where are we?" Caroline questioned and she got surprised by her shaking voice.

"Somebody's garage, I could care less," he mused with a smirk as Caroline looked around before noticing someone's shoes laying behind the car. She realized it was a man laying there before she widened her eyes and turned back at Sam.

"Let me go," she snapped before trying to move the ropes but they were really tight. Her hands were already becoming pale as a sheet from the cut circulation of blood. "It's tight! Let me go!"

Sam walked over to his briefcase, which was placed on a table. He opened it before taking the damned journal that got Caroline in trouble in the first place. "Look..." Caroline began but he only interrupted her.

"The more talking you do, the more nonsense you will say, which will make me more annoyed, Caroline," Sam told her as he opened the journal before looking at the first page. "Sam Rhee, what is wrong with you? You're probably wondering what that meant. Which is why you decided to read some more."

Caroline sighed as she shook her head angrily. She was scared indeed but for some reason she didn't show it as usually. Something inside was telling her that she'd be fine. She did have a good thing to stay alive for - he wasn't able to know anything about her. "I feel like I'm going insane. I know everything a person feels or thinks about. Without reading minds," Sam continued reading as he glanced at the blonde who was looking away. "You better start looking at me."
