SAM FOUND HIMSELF WALKING THROUGH THE WOODS. It was nighttime and he couldn't see well but his feet still took him through the muddy ground towards a dimly lit tent where he could hear voices.

The language was hard to understand from afar but it was loud as Sam could hear a woman chanting something. Sam stopped just at the entrance of the tent to take a look inside.

There he saw two figures but only a woman was seen. She was extremely beautiful with long dark curly hair. Sam stared at the woman who stared at a taller figure with loving eyes. She reminded Sam of Bonnie a little but the way she was dressed confused him.

Sam looked at her long, flowing dress and she wore sandals too. It looked like she was from Ancient Greece times and Sam then understood he must have been dreaming. He shook his head and took a step back causing the woman to turn to look at Sam. "He's coming, Sam," she said seriously as Sam widened his and then woke up with a jolt.

He was breathing heavily as he stared up at the white ceiling, sweat dripping down his forehead.

Sam felt like dying. His head was spinning and it hurt, he was incredibly cold and sweaty at the same time. But most importantly he had no idea where he was.

Suddenly he heard a groan and turned his head to a side to see a certain blonde sleeping on the chair, her head placed on the bed just next to where his hand was. "Caroline," his voice was weak but demanding.

The blonde vampire groaned again and slowly opened her eyes. She raised her head up to see Sam awake and looking at her in bewilderment. "Sam!" she shouted while standing up quickly.

Sam stared at her in confusion as Caroline smiled slightly. "Thank God you didn't die," she mused as she touched his forehead. It was burning so Caroline frowned.

"Get your hand off of me," he hissed as he tried to sit up higher before he started to cough.

"Hey hey, it's okay," she helped him sit up as Sam started coughing up blood. Caroline handed him a tissue as Sam continued to cough a lot of blood. "I have to give you more blood."

Sam stopped coughing after what seemed like ages. He lowered his head as he wiped his mouth. "I need water," he said bluntly so Caroline grabbed a glass and poured him some water.

Sam tried to take the glass but his hand was too weak. "Just let me," she said awkwardly and held the glass as Sam drank greedily as if he hadn't had water in ages. "There you go."
