CAROLINE FELT PERPLEXED. Not only Sam asked, more like told her to spend one day with him, Klaus asked also in exchange for Stefan killing one of his hybrids. The Forbes girl was fighting with Tyler but that didn't mean she was open to date anyone. Especially someone like Sam or Klaus.
The hybrid hurt a lot of people and for that Caroline shouldn't have agreed but she trusted Klaus more than Sam. She didn't even think Sam would show up.
But then the next day set and the Miss Mystic Falls was held with Caroline being the one to pass her crown to someone else. She couldn't stop thinking about anything else but Klaus showing up to be her date. Also Sam, who she prayed not to come.
Caroline even asked Elena to beg him not to come but Elena didn't want to intertwine because she already had tons of problems of her own.
Sam and Elena entered the Lockwood Mansion together as Sam stopped in tracks. He looked handsome in his suit as Elena wore a tight black lacy dress. "This is all very weird," Elena told Sam as she fixed her dress before the two walked further inside.
"Which part? Me coming here to Caroline or you breaking up with a man who still would give the world to you?" Sam asked calmly as a waiter with a tray of champagne approached them. Sam took two glasses before shooting him a glare to walk away. He handed one glass to Elena so she took it reluctantly.
"Both," Elena mused before taking a sip of champagne. "I don't want you to hit on my friends."
"No one's gonna hit on anyone, Elena," Sam chuckled so she smiled slightly before the two stared at each other for a moment. "I'm just trying to find out more about her as well as protect her from Klaus Mikaelson."
Elena furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. "Protect?"
Sam cleared his throat as he smirked at Elena. "Caroline is your best friend so she is off limits, I know. No need to worry," he assured her before gently touching her arm. "Hey, if you're feeling bad about Stefan and yours break up... Don't. It was actually inevitable," Sam advised before leaving her be as Elena stood in once place before going upstairs to help April, who was getting ready for the Miss Mystic Falls.
Sam walked outside into a beautifully decorated garden with guests already enjoying a nice day. Sam noticed Tyler walking around with a werewolf named Hayley. He read into Tyler to find out that he and Caroline were having some issues all because of that one hybrid Stefan made Jeremy kill.
Sam rolled his eyes dully because he thought of attachment as one of the worst things in life. He didn't want to suffer like Tyler was suffering.
