*Y/n's POV*

I sat there in my messy room and watercolored as I listened to Weezer. I was painting a little galaxy with the planets, the sun, and little black holes everywhere. My phone dinged. I threw myself over to my nightstand to grab it. I got it and whale flopped back on my bed and checked to see who texted me. It was my mom.

It said, "Hey sweetie! I need you to pack a suitcase with clothes, bathroom stuff, and lots of snacks and makeup! You're going to an arts camp! I signed you up for arts classes you'll love like film, painting, and writing classes. I have everything that you need for the camp. I need you packed and ready to go in half an hour. Be ready when I get home!!!"

I stared at the text. I quickly got my suitcase, my mini suitcase, and my backpack to put all of my stuff in. I packed a few dresses, rompers, outfits, swimsuits, sketch pads, notebooks, pencils, pens, watercolors, markers, my computer and its charger, my phone charger, books, and makeup. Then, I used all of my mini suitcases for my snacks. Ramen noodles, goldfish, hot Cheetos, diet soda, muffins, and pizza Pringles. I remembered my headphones and my fan because I couldn't sleep without them. I figured we were staying in dorms so I also packed sheets and blankets and pillows. I heard a knock on the door. It was my mom.

We started piling all of my things into the car and we started the drive to the university where the camp was being held. We checked in at the performing arts center which was the theatre. I got my schedule and classes. Everything in the little folder told me what I needed to do. They gave me a meal card and a name tag. Then, my mom and I drove to the dorms. I got a lanyard and a key. I put my cards and the key on it and went upstairs to find my room. Each door had either a drawn-on book or a paintbrush that had two names on them each. My door had my name and Mari on it. I walked in and saw an Asian girl with vibrant purple hair plugging in her mini fridge.

"Hi. I'm Mari! Nice to meet you. Have you ever been to this camp before?" She asked.

"Nope. I'm glad I have a nice roommate though. So we just unpack and then what?"

"We'll hang out in the lobby maybe. Since you're new here, I can introduce you to all of my friends. Then, we'll gather everyone up and go back to the theater for supper and a scavenger hunt. Do you need anything to be in the fridge?"

"Umm yeah, just these diet sodas. I'll unpack real quick and I'll meet you down there," I said as I unzipped my suitcase and started throwing in clothes. I threw on my bed sheets and blankets and ran downstairs. I walked around the little lobby and found a nook with a small bunch of people. Mari was there.

*Damien's POV*

A short girl came around the corner and into the nook. We all looked at her. Mari jumped up.

"Hey! Guys, this is my new friend and roommate,   Y/n!" Mari said. Y/n waved shyly. Everyone said hi and introduced themselves. It came to my turn.

"Hi! I'm Damien! Nice to meet you," I said as I shook her hand. Her face was blushing the whole time. It was adorable.

"Alright, campers! Gather up because it's time to eat! Let's go to the PAC!" The director yelled. Everyone started gathering up and started walking to the performing arts center. Y/n walked with us, more specifically, beside me.

"So, is this your first year at the camp?" I asked.

"Yeah. How many times have you been here?"

"I've been coming here for about, Umm- this is my third year. You excited?" I looked as she put her head down and shrugged. "Well, what classes are you taking?"

"Well, I have film, fiction writing, painting, pop performance, and set design. Do you have any of those classes?" She asked hopefully.

"Yeah! Actually, I have pop, and all of our friends have film! And the theatre class gets to pair up with the set design group," I said.

*Y/n's POV*

He's so cute. Wait, I just met this guy. I can't wait for classes with him. Omg stop mind!

"OK campers! We're going to go over the rules and a few more things then we'll eat and be separated into teams for the scavenger hunt! So, everyone into the recital hall!" The director announced. I shuffled in behind the crowd.

"Y/n! We saved you a seat!" Wes yelled. I sat beside him with the group.

It took about fifteen minutes for the camp director to go over the classes and rules. She acknowledged the new people at the camp. We then walked outside and saw a couple of tables with deli sandwiches, chips, cookies, and drinks. Everyone got in a line for food.

Now, I don't need that much food to feel full. I'm not anorexic or anything, but I just don't need a full feast or that big of a meal to feel complete. So, of course, my new group of friends asked me why I didn't get that much food. And I had to go through the process of telling them why I didn't always eat that much food.

Anyway, after supper, we got chosen to be in groups of five. Wes and Boze were in my group. They were both so nice. So, all of us started running around the campus like lunatics.

We accomplished pretty much everything and got back to the BPAC.

<time skip from yeeter yeet yeet>

We got back to the dorms and I tripped going up the stairs like the clumsy rag doll I am. All of my new friends saw and I wanted to die of embarrassment right at that moment. My arm got hurt pretty bad too.

"Ow," I said. I felt someone pick me up and stand me on my feet. It was Damie

n.

"You ok?" He asked.

"Yeah." And with that question he asked, I knew I liked him.
