The halls were littered with students minutes before the bell was about to go. People talking, obnoxious laughs and what not started to be heard all over, much different from about 5 minutes ago when I had arrived.

Cody and Jordan immediately set about going to find their new friends from the American Football team, and ditched me along with their plans. I know, the love is real.

I heard a ping come from my phone and pulled it out the back pocket of my jeans. I was dressed in casual washed skinny jeans, folded from the bottom, some Adidas Superstars uncle Leo got me the other day and a short sleeve top that read "London". True Brit to heart, I guess. I had paired it with a denim jacket I had, but right now it was casually slung over my shoulders. My hair, it was in boxer braids that, not going to even lie, took about half an hour to get perfect last night.

Yes, I slept in my boxer braids. Got a problem? Go to the doctors, they're there to help, honey.

I reached my locker and saw that I had a message from Ava, asking me where I was. I texted back, telling her I was at my locker.

Putting away my phone, I looked up, only to be met with an intense pair of forest green eyes. I took in the girl; slightly shorter than me, brown hair which had been dip dyed blue from the bottom and small tattoo on her neck. I could t make out what it was, but I think it was a an arrow heart.

Puzzled, I cocked my head to the side and expressed a short "hi?" Which came out more as a question than a statement.

"Hey. Okay, so this might sound a little weird - wait, you have no idea who I am. Erm, I sit in your Physics class and I just happened to notice that- you well- er-" she started rambling, and me being me, I knew that she was nervous and may or may not have needed my help.

"Okay deep breathes... start with your name." I advised, smiling warmly at her, still puzzled though. The nervousness was evident on her face, and her body language screamed "help me".

"Right. Well, my names Pearl, and well, I am also in your Physics class. I just wanted to ask- how do you do it?" The girl, I now know as Pearl, asked me. She kept rubbing her palms together, in apprehension.

"Do what? Physics?" I asked, my eyebrows furrowed. Physics was so straightforward but a lot of people struggled with it. Mainly because they didn't understand the basics.

"No! No, no I mean... well you know- you play for the Soccer team? Isn't it hard? Like all the judgemental stares and stuff?" I thought about her words for a few moments.

Yes, they're were definitely people who were always constantly judging my every moves, take Alyssa for example, but I tended to ignore all the hunting stares. That didn't mean I didn't know that they were there, and yes, it is hard- not fitting in. But that didn't mean I gave up on my dream. I didn't give up on my heart.
