Even those who seem fearless are scared of something✨
"Shit" was the first thing I said, startled and confused as I replayed the nightmare from just now. I came home and fell asleep, after a long shift.
Cold sweat trickled down my forehead and my neck, goosebumps forming all over and a tingling sensation was spreading rapidly throughout my body. The hairs on my neck felt like they stood-on-end, scaring the living daylights out of me.
The dream involved me coming home early from a shift, and then I was laying on my bed, listening to Never Be Alone, by Shawn Mendes; my dads favourite song.
I ended up calling Ron and went haywire. Then, there was someone, I can't remember who, but someone with brown hair like mine, was there by my side.
After a few minutes calming my high nerves down, I reached over for my phone and checked the time. 7:39 pm. It's only been half an hour.
I got up, shaking my head. I need to do something. I have a bad feeling that shit is gonna happen soon. And I'm not a bit ready.
And I can assure you, it isn't going to be pretty. Not one bit. My guy has always been right.
I jumped quickly into the warm shower, trying to get rid of the nightmare, figuratively.
I got out and wore some Uggs, with plain, grey sweatpants and a green tee. It was warm and comfortable, what I needed right now.
"Alexis, come down!" I hear Uncle Leo call out. It's a miracle I can even hear him from the top of the mansion like house. Or whatever you can call it.
Still not fully recovered, I hop (yes hop) my way down the stairs and try to find the special island of food. Basically the kitchen, to those of you who haven't quite caught on.
I put on a fake smile for the world to see, including Cody. To be honest, I don't even know if I was a burden on my mom.
If I was a burden for my own mom, wouldn't that mean that everyone would feel that I was a burden? Dragging all my problems in a cart with me, not ready to face them?
"There you are, Alex. Dinners in 5 minutes." Alyssa says, coating her speech in something only I would be able to catch on to, hidden disgust.
Aww, you disgust me too hun. If you think I like you, make sure your head is screwed on tight.
I give her a smile, a fake one if course. But it wouldn't look that bad to any one else. Only she would understand. Geez, and here I thought I was away from drama.
I help lay the table and then eat, quietly, listening to the conversations at the table.
Cara is a great singer, as I've learned, and she just had a practice performance today at school for the talent show. She's so cute, and her dimples when she smile are just adorable.
