Patience. It's a virtue.

"How's your boyfriend? Heard he asked you out last match. Congrats." James asked me (and congratulating me), as he walked past me to his position on the pitch - stopping midway to face me.

"He's amazing and yeah he did. How's Autumn?" I asked.
His eyes suddenly reverted from hostility to softness, and replied "yeah, she's great. I really like her."

I one-arm hugged him for a split second, before pulling away. At one given time, he was my best friend, regardless of what happened after that. Because there was a time when he was my brother. Perhaps one day we could be friends again.

"Yeah whatever. We're going to kick your butts." Was all he said, before shoving his hands into the pockets of his shorts and walking away.

I think it's safe to say he was right.

We lost. 4-2. But the team wasn't as down as I thought they'd be. Instead, we were here laughing it off. I know, I was too. Shocking.

I think after last match, we've learned that our demeanours needs to remain calm in order to get to the finals. And in every match, we needed to be level headed and have clear perception. It's wasn't a hard theory if you asked me.

The fact that we're not mad is a good sign of true sportsmanship. Their play was actually strong and well thought out, so preps to their coach and team.

The only thing concerning was fact that they had scored against Joey from dangerously inaccurate places on the pitch. Joey hasn't gotten weaker, they've just got stronger.

"I'm gonna go and finish off maths." Austin said in the changing rooms and I rolled my eyes. Sure. Austin chirped a backing response and I rolled my eyes again.

"And I'm going to hang out with ma new girl friend," Jayden wistfully sighed before laughing, and everyone joined in. I stepped out of the cubicle and laughed a long, before stopping.

"Sorry, Jay, but me and Joey here have some work to do." I smiled, clapping my hands together. He has no idea what's hit him.

"We do?" "You do?" The two boys said in unison and I shrugged.

"We have our whole lives to hang, Jay." I said, pulling on Joey's arm. Jayden chuckled and nodded. I saluted then and continued dragging Joey with me.

"Come on." I said, running onto the pitch. "I'm going to go get some equipment stay right here." I instructed and Joey nodded meekly. Poor kid was probably scared of me.

"I feel bad for Joe..." Jayden nervously chuckled as I dragged Joey outside. Of course he would say that.
"I heard that!" I shouted and everyone quickly quietened, then began leaving the changing rooms from the sound of a stampede.

I lightly jogged towards the kind office lady I'd visited on the first day of our training and took the key from her. I've only been here two times. One was getting the stuff from the mess that was left; and the second time I actually came in here was to tidy it up. If you asked me, I did a decent job.
