I walked into the park, the ball in my right hand, spinning. I was dressed in my casual clothes, jeans, my converses, a white polo shirt with a plaid red button up, of course, my buttons undone.

I immediately spot my mates; Nick Colton -the CAM for the soccer team-, Ethan- the stupid/hilarious one and my all time best mate, Chase, the Right Winger for Burnsville high. I know how this high school shit works; you make a ton of friends, you leave for college and then you never see them ever again. And that, is how life works, with complete logic and also what I follow.

But, I so hope that doesn't happen to these three true people; who not only saved me from a life of utter complete bullshit, but also stuck by me after that, through thick and thin; especially Chase Huntsman.

Ethan, my buddy whose full of stupid jokes and puns, always smiling and probably the most friendly guy to be around. Oh, and he's really quite sociable amongst people in the school. I mean, he's friends with Freshman, Sophomores, heck even Seniors! And he's only a freakin junior... He has a little sister and a little brother who are twins, and - lets get this straight- I love kids and they are adorable.

I walk up to them, Ethan smiling as he sees me. I approach them, and end up standing in front of Ethan, who raises his hands in a high-five-ing gesture. I shake my head whilst trying not to smile at his goofy antics, as the guy on hi life grumbles something incoherent, whilst favourably rolling his eyes. You guessed it; It' my 24/7 pissed of guy, Nick Colton.

Nick Colton is an epic guy once you get used to him. Sure, he's really negative, annoying or feels thus annoyed, and probably needs anger management classes, but once you open up to him, he'll slowly do the same. Also, do not ever attempt to hug or touch him in any conceivable way. After his dad died in an abroad war someplace South, he really doesn't like any contact- mostly because his dad used to always ruffle his hair or something. He has a really cool step-dad, and most of the time when something happening or just the realisation hitting him, he literally hates himself because he has such an awesome guy for his new dad.

Anyways, I nod at Colton, him returning the gesture. I reach Chase and we start doing our intense handshake we made when we were 7, whilst playing space and battleships- a really fun game we made up. I've known this guy since the womb, literally. Our moms were literally best friends and knew each other since their High School year. Cool, I guess.

"Barry really did get the boot from the team, huh?" Ethan said, looking down at his shuffling shoes. "He's such an idiot." Nick mutters. "I know! I mean who forgets about their grades for like a whole semester, then misses three matches to catch up on everything?" Chase asks dumbfound. I just shrug. "Just shows academic studies really do count, especially if you want a scholarship."

"Anyways, Ethan man, why did you call us here?" Chase asks. "I was really wishing Austin would make it, ugh." He responds and I let out a laugh. "You probably called all of us here to buy you a freakin ice cream. And Austin is the one who always does, that's why, right?" And the others also laugh, including Ethan himself.

Austin is our very great left back. He's a great pal too, not to mention a great defender. I know everyone on the team personally, everyone is cool. Perhaps not Joey, our Goal Keeper because gosh, he hates me for some unknown reason, but yeah. Austin is just like Ethan. In our group, Ethan an Austin are like best-best friends in this best friend group, me and Chase, followed by Nick and Carson, a guy that's not here at this present moment. Carson hates Ethan and Austin and vice versa, so we tend not to speak of him much when we're around them.

"Anyways, I called you guys here because we really do need a person for Left Winger. With Barry gone, no one can play Left Winger on the bench. All strikers or Right Wingers. Coach said if we don't find a suitable player... Well, we can't compete and we have to take ourselves out of the big league. And you all know how we can't do that." Ethan says, with Colton actually agreeing with him.

"Yeah, cuz of James Anderson, I know, I have my own score to settle with that bitch." I say, spitting in the grass. "And I never leave my scores unsettled. I am sure as hell this year I will kick his sorry ass in the league." Ethan nods, "We can't let him win this year, Ever since he's been on the Bev hills team, we've lost the trophy. Once! Can you believe that? No one has beaten us, yet this star striker has made everyone bow down to him!"

James: the most cocky, bitchy devil of this whole freakin soccer league. Hate him yet? You really should. He injured Barry on our first match against each other, Austin on the second, and on the finals, had me sitting on the bench. And he didn't get a single red card! Insane.

"Well, guess we know what we're doing, then." Chase announces and I nod, so does Colton. Only Ethan doesn't catch on. This is what I meant by stupid. "We're holding trials, idiot." Nick answers for us. "Oh." Is Ethan's reply, making Chase ruffle his hair.

"Whose phone is ringing? Shut it off man, I already got a headache." Nick groans and I playfully nudge him. "So that's why you're unusually extra grumpy today." I wink as he sends two middle fingers right my way, as Ethan and I fall into hysterics.

"It's mine. 2 Seconds." Chases says and he picks up his phone, rolling his eyes. "What do you want, Alyssa?" He asks and I snort. Of course it would be her, of course. "Nope, No Jayden in sight." He smirks, as do I. I quietly spud him and I kick my leg out in celebration. I turned my phone off so I can't hear her whiny voice. But the Bad Boy and the Cheerleader gotta pretend to be together, right?

"Sure, I'll help you move a sofa, totally." He says sarcastically whilst rolling his eyes. Yup, Alyssa definitely needs help moving a goddamn sofa. He ends the call and says to us, "Got to go... gin... ugh save m in like 30 mins." I nod and he begins walking to her house, whilst I head over to Nick's.

What? Fine, his step-dad's cooking skills are amazingly on point! I mean, I can cook and have a tiny Italian heritage in me, but this guy is a bomb ass chef! Yeah, and he's totally not making lasagna....
