"With you by my side, I can do anything."
✨Walking out of the room after having dropped my phone, Jayden ran after me. I walked all the way until I rounded the corner of Nick's room.
Taking a deep breathe, I walked in before Jayden could protest against it. "Did you know Coach was my dad?" I asked him, glad that it was only him in the room so the others were out of earshot.
"You found out, eh?" He sighed, sitting in a slumped position in his bed. He wore chequered pyjama bottoms and a grey tank top. If only Jayden was that stylish. I'm kidding, geez - keep your [ fakeee ] hair on.
"And you did?" I asked, bloody well astonished. What the flipping heck was this? Was I the only oblivious one to the fact that my football Coach was my dad?
I didn't see the resemblance. Did I even look anything like him?
"Yeah, you really look like him and everything. It was easy after I realised you two had the same last names. It was when Alyssa did all that shit in the cafeteria. I went home that day and realised that the first part of your story matched a lot with my step-dad's story." He trailed on, walking out of his cozy bed and to the kitchen.
"Wait does that make us—-"
"Yup. Welcome to the family, sister." What the heck was even going on at this point? It was like a weight was placed on my shoulders, and I didn't know how to act all of a sudden."Aren't you happy?" Nick stopped, and looked at me weirdly.
"Yeah - I guess.""She just needs time, I guess." Jayden interjected, interlocking his fingers with mine. I looked up at him and he looked straight on at Nick, but I could tell that he was looking at me from the corner of his eyes. His lips upturned and he rolled his eyes, subtly.
"Wait - that makes me your step - brother in law!" Jayden proclaimed and my heart did a double take. Did he just insinuate... oh my Lord...
I'm pretty sure a furious blush took over my features, because my face felt like it was on fire. "Dude, quit it." Nick chuckled, alongside Jayden as they saw my flustered state. I grumbled some colourful words, being sure to whack my boyfriend at the back of his head.
"Wait, can I get a hug? Since, like, I'm your brother now?" He asked and I chuckled, leaving Jayden's side for a quick second to give him a hug.
After a few more minutes, we walked out of his room area. "How do you feel, Princess?" Jayden asked me and I chuckled at the ironic pet name.
"I'm a bit, I don't know, overwhelmed? I seriously did not expect him to be anywhere in this continent, forget him be the coach of my football team." I bit my lip, confused.
"But why were Codes and Ava so perturbed?" I questioned aloud. I didn't know a thing that and they refused to disclose any information.
