Chapter 12: Adoption

Yoongi's POV

"I need to talk with you." Bang Shihyuk called Yoongi over to have a private conversation with him.

"What do you need?" Yoongi asked.

"I think you and Hoseok should give the baby up for adoption."

Yoongi looked at Bighit's CEO like if he was crazy. "What?!"

"I know it isn't my decision, but, as the CEO, I need to make sure yours and the others' reputations stay clear." Shihyuk explained.

"Does it really have to be that way?" Yoongi said, trying to control the anger in his voice. "Can't we just say it's a relatives baby that asked if we could take care of the baby while they had to go deal with something and the rest of the family couldn't take the baby in?"

"No, because that is something no one would believe. I'm sorry it has to be like this, but we have no other choice."

"Yes, we do!" Yoongi yelled.

"No, we don't! Now, deal with it or else!"

Yoongi slammed his fist against the wall and left the other male. He walked back into the practice room with a pissed expression. No one dared to ask him what had happened.

Yoongi, however, went up to Hoseok and told him, "We need to talk when we get home." That was all he said the whole day until they got home.

Time skip:
Later At the Dorm

When they got home, everyone was tired, but Yoongi knew he had to tell Hoseok about Shihyuk's plans to give their baby up for adoption.

Making sure everyone was asleep, Yoongi went to Hoseok's shared bedroom to see if he was still awake. "Hoseok, are you still awake?" He whispered.

"Yeah." Hoseok answered back.

"Come to my room. We need to talk." Yoongi waited patiently for his lover to quietly reach the door.

They both walked to the older's room and sat on the bed. They stayed quiet for a minute until Yoongi decided to break the silence.

"Bang Pd-nim wants to give the baby up for adoption." Yoongi surprised himself because he didn't think he'd say it so simply.

"What?" Hoseok let out a shaky response.

"He wants to take away our baby and put him up for adoption."

"He can't do that! It's our baby! He can't possibly make us give up our child!" Hoseok whisper-yelled while tears fell from his eyes. "It's our baby! I can't let him take our only child away!"

"I know." Yoongi said taking in Hoseok's fragile state. "I got mad at him as well. I don't want him to take away our baby."

Yoongi wasn't one for crying, but he couldn't help to do so when he imagined his and Hoseok's baby being taken away. "I promise I'll do my best to protect you two, okay?"

Hoseok shook his head. "You don't have to do that because I will also do my best to convince him to keep our baby."

"Good idea." Yoongi said softly. "Let's go to sleep. Shall we?"

"Okay."

The two fell asleep, and the whole night they were sleeping in each other's arms.
