Unexpected Love

Chapter 8

Elizabeth's POV

"Elizabeth you're going to have to sit this one out" Magnus says making me glare at him. "That is so not fair!" I pout and Magnus sighs

"Only 5 people can be on the pentagram and since we are retrieving Clary's memories it is entirely fair" Magnus exclaims all in one breath. "Fine" I sigh before walking over to Clary

"Please don't do anything stupid" I stress making her gasp dramatically. "When have I ever done anything stupid?" She asks and I give her a look. "Do you really want me to answer that question?" I ask and she frowns. "No." She says making me laugh

"Honestly though Clary please be careful and listen to everything Magnus, Jace, Izzy, and Alec tell you to do. I can't lose you too" I say and she chuckles

"I'm not 5 but fine I will I promise" She says before I pull her into a hug. Clary may annoy the crap out of me but she's family and I won't let anything happen to her

"Ok I'm going to go talk to Alec, Izzy, and Jace real quick. Remember don't forget anything stupid. I know you promised but I still think you would do it. Anyways be careful!" I say quickly before ruffling her hair and walking over to where Jace, Alec, and Izzy were silently talking

"Please don't let Clary do anything stupid" I say causing Alec to chuckle. "I heard that!" Clary yelled making me roll my eyes.

"Good!" I yelled back before turning back to the three. "In all honesty though don't let anything bad happen to her" I say in a slightly pleading tone

"We won't let anything happen to her Liz" Jace says and I nod. "Thank you. Anyways you guys be careful too" I say staring into Alec's eyes that seemed to shine in the light

"We will El" he says sending me a quick smile before I give Izzy a hug, Jace a side hug and Alec a big bear hug

I send them one last smile before walking back to Magnus. "I am going to be in the kitchen finishing my pizza" I say and he nods.

"You can help yourself to anything, though I must warn you alcohol and pizza isn't the best option. I do however suggest the soda in the fridge" He says making me chuckle softly

"Thank you Magnus" I say before sending one last glance at Clary and making my way to the kitchen.

At least I finally got to finish my beautiful pizza. I took three slices leaving the rest for Alec

I then helped myself to a soda that was in the fridge since Magnus said I was allowed

For around five minutes I munched on my food happily before I heard a scream

"ALEC ITS OK!"

"NO!"

"DO NOT BREAK THE BOND!"

i quickly grabbed my seraph blade running into the room. I saw everyone scattered on the floor until Alec got up.

He was right in the demons path. I quickly pushed him out of the way dropping my seraph blade as Valak gets a hold of me instead

"Elizabeth!" Alec yells quickly grabbing onto my arm. Izzy soon joins him and Jace as well

Izzy looks over at Clary who was holding a seraph blade. "Clary help us!"

Black dots began to cloud my vision and I saw the blurry figure of Clary before my eyes slowly began to close

The last thing I felt was two arms catching me mumbling an 'I'm sorry'

I gasp shooting upright.

I was layed down on Alec's lap and I look around seeing the relieved faces of everyone. Clary throws her arms around me in a tight hug
