Chapter 18

Elizabeth's POV
"Alec please" I whisper as I kneel in front of him in the training room. "You can't choose someone you don't love over your family and parabatai!" I cry

"Over me" I whisper and Alec looks at me with a pained expression. "I'm sorry El" he says blankly and before I had the chance to question anything I felt a seraph blade run through my stomach

"I can't betray the clave" he says as tears spring to his eyes as he watches me lay back on the floor with blood spilling through my wound

I tried grabbing my stele but he stepped on it harshly causing it to shatter into pieces. "I love you" He says as he leans down pressing a kiss to my forehead as I stare at him in horror and confusion and betrayal

"Well done Alec" Lydia smirks as she walks in placing a hand on his shoulder

I gasped sitting up from my bed. "It was a dream calm down!" I heard a voice. I woke up looking to my left to see a shirtless Alec in my bed

"Alec what are you doing here?" I ask and he looks at me confused. "Darling what are you talking about? That dream must have really messed with you. Come on let's go back to bed you need rest for the party tonight" he says pressing a sweet kiss to my lips before pulling me against his chest

It suddenly hit me

Clary and I went through the portal. This was the alternative universe.

And Alec and I were a thing

I slowly relaxed against his arms as I drifted off again. This time in the comfort of Alec's arm even if it wasn't the Alec I personally knew

"Babe wake up I made you your favorite" I heard a whisper against my ear before a kiss was pressed against my forehead

"Babe seriously wake up I made you chocolate chip pancakes with eggs and a glass of orange juice" He says and I open my eyes blinking to adjust to the light as Alec is sitting at the door of the bed with two trays of food

"I thought breakfast in bed sounded good today" he said and I smiled as he leaned down pecking my lips

"Come on you should eat. We have to eat before meeting up with the others" he says and I nod beginning to eat the delicious breakfast

This feeling was amazing

Being with Alec and having no stress until I realized why I was here. "Hey Alec where's my stele" I ask and he looks at me confused

"Why would you need a stele?" He asks and I chuckle at him. "To makes runes Alec what's wrong with you?" I ask and he raised a brow

"El love are you feeling okay? We haven't used runes in years." He says and I look down realizing all my runs were gone

"Oh yeah I Uh I guess my dream has me messed up today" I said and he laughs smoothing my hair down affectionately

"It's okay El I still love you crazy or not" He says and I blush as he pressed his lips against mine passionately

"Now really let's finish the breakfast" he laughs. "Have you talked to your brother recently?" He asked and I raised a brow. "Brother?" I question

"Yeah Jace hasn't called in a while but I guess he is just busy hanging out with Clary now that they are dating and all. We used to be just like them" he said and I nod

"Yeah. Well we have talked and he's good we're seeing him today no?" I ask and he shrugs. "Yeah I guess" Alec says before finishing up the last of his breakfast

"Ok love I have a bath set up for you already so you can go relax for a bit and I'll make sure everything is ready for the institute party tonight" he says and I nod blushing

"Thanks Alec" I whisper pecking his lips as he grins. "God I love you" He says pressing his lips against mine once more

"Go make sure everything is ready for the party!" I giggled as I walked to the bathroom seeing a cute bubble bath with rose petals set up already

This Alec is ten times better than real Alec

I could get used to this world

"Oh remember that time we walked in on you and Alec napping and Alec got so embarrassed when we showed him the picture since he had the biggest crush on you!" Izzy laughs as Simon has his arm draped around her and Alec smiles at me sheepishly

"Hey Clare Bear" I say laughing at the memory. "Liz can I talk to you?" She asks and I nod looking at the others

"I'll be back" I said and Alec pouts. "Don't leave me" he says and I roll my eyes. "I'll be back in a few you dork" I grinned before following Clary

"Liz we have to keep ourselves at bay. We can get trapped in this world" she says and I look at her confused

"Clary what are you talking about?" I ask. She was talking nonsense. "Oh no Liz remember what we're here for! Come on Liz! We went through the seelie portal! Trying to find Valentine!" She says and I snap back into reality

"Woah that was close" I mumble and she sighs. "Talk about it"

"Wait you and Jace are dating in this world!" I said and she nods. "You and Alec are dating" she says and I blush

"I know but in this world Jace is my brother. How is that possible? Are we not sisters in this world?" I ask and she sighs

"I don't think so when I woke up mom didn't mention you and in the family pictures you weren't there"

"Wait mom is here" I say and she nods. "But she's with valentine. He isn't evil in this world"

"This world is ten time better than ours" I groan and she grins. "For sure"

"Alec how does this look?" I ask motioning to my blue dress that matched his shirt. "You look stunning as always babe" he grins pecking my lips quickly

"I just have one thing you should put on" he says and I look at him. "What?" I grin and he pulls out a medium box opening it to reveal a gold heart shaped necklace with an 'A+E'

"It's beautiful" I whispered and he grins. "I'm glad you like it" he says as he turns me around and gently puts the necklace on me

"Now let's go to that party and be the baddest bitches in town" I said and he laughs at me. "Lets" He says offering his arm
