Unexpected Love

Chapter 9

Elizabeth's POV
The minute I walked out of my room after my shower I bumped into a hard chest

"Sorry" I mumbled before the person wraps an arm around my waist. "El! Trying to escape me so soon?" Alec teases and I look up meeting his hazel eyes

"I mean I wouldn't want to disturb the peace I have going on now would I?" I mimick his words from earlier making him roll his eyes

"You can't steal my lines El. It's just flat out rude." He laughs making a weird feeling arise in my stomach at the sound

"Want to train together for a little bit?" Alec suggests and I raise a brow glaring at him teasingly. "Of course you want to train after we just took showers" I say and he shrugs

"I'm not sure if that's a yes or not" he says before I smile. "Yes you dork" I chuckle making him glare at me

"I am not a dork!" He groans and I laugh looking at his eyes while he smiled down at me

It was at that exact moment I realized his arm was still locked around my waist and of course it was also at that moment Jace came

"Hey Alec I was just looking for you! Want to train for a bit?" He asks looking at where Alecs' hand was with a smirk

"Um me and Elizabeth were just about to go but we can all train together I guess" Aec said dropping his arm leaving a cold feeling where it once was

Jace nodded before we all made our way to the training room. "Did Alec tell you what happened with Clary this morning?" Jace asked while we were making our way there

I freeze turning to face both Jace and Alec. "What happened? Is she ok? Is she hurt? I should go check on her!" I begin to blurt out "Relax she's fine but Alec took her necklace away" Jace reassures me making me look at Alec confused

"Why?" I question and Alec shrugs. "It is a danger to the institute so I put it somewhere safe" he stated simply making me lightly punch his shoulder. "How in the name of the angel is a necklace a threat to the institute?" I ask

"Valentine spoke to Clary through the necklace. He said 'your mother for the cup' If he can see inside the institute then it's my duty to take care of it" Alec explains making my eyes widen

Valentine said the same thing to me in my dream. "You know what I am actually not feeling too well. I-im going to catch up with you guys later" I said turning on my heel and walking away as fast as I could

I quickly entered my room sitting on my bed as I bit my lip nervously while fidgeting with the ring that rested on my finger

Maybe this is how I could see Mom. How Valentine could speak to me as well. It was a danger to the institute as well.

I groaned running to the training room. Once I got there I tapped Alec on the shoulder and he looked at me surprised as I grabbed his hand opening his palm

I gently placed my ring in his hand as he, and Jace for that matter, continued to stare in confusion. "Mom gave this to e at the same time she gave Clary her necklace. Last night Valentine said the same thing he said to Clary to me" I explained briefly not mentioning the other mini visions I had

Alecs' eyes widen as he took in what I was saying. "Why didn't you tell me?" He asked and I sighed "I just thought it was a bad dream. I didn't think he could communicate with me" I said before a woman came into a view with Isabelee and Clary trailing behind

Jace turns around while Alec didn't really seem to pay attention as he stared at me. I didn't pay attention to what Jace was saying to the woman as Alec spoke to me
