Elizabeth's POV
"Want to go grab some drinks?" Alec asks and I nod smiling as he grabs my hand leading me to the table with a few drinks later out.
"For ma lady" he says in a horrible British accent handing me a cup. "Why thank you kind sir" I laugh
"El can we uh talk in the back I set us up a private table" he says suddenly nervous. "Of course Alec lets go" I say and he places his hand on my waist dragging my body close to him before leading us to a somewhat private table with a beautiful set up
"Alec this is gorgeous" I gush and he smiles pulling my chair out. "Thank you" I smile back. "So Uh well I talked to Izzy on how to do this properly but I Uh kind of forget everything she told me so I'm just going with the flow right here" He begins stuttering nervously
Kneeling down in front of me he grabs my hands. "Elizabeth Herondale we have been together for almost five years now and you make me the happiest man on earth. You are my life and I will do anything in my power to make you happy. I love waking up in the morning with you cuddled to my chest. I love the way your scrunch your nose up when you don't like something. I love the way you still blush after every kiss. I love everything about you El. You're my lover and my best friend all in one and I couldn't ask for a better girlfriend. However I don't want you to be my girlfriend anymore I want something more. I want something better" he says and I felt tears well up in my eyes
He moves one of his hands to his back pocket pulling out a velvet red box before opening it revealing a gorgeous ring that wasn't too flashy but still has that gorgeous sparkle when the light hit it
"I want to spend the rest of my life with you darling. Will you do the honor of being Elizabeth Lightwood?" He asks and I felt tears fall down my face
"Of course I would!" I say knowing even in this dimension I was hopelessly in love with Alec.
Wait.... I'm in love with Alec
I don't get to continue with my thought as This universe Alec slips the ring on my finger and kisses me sweetly
"I love you" he whispers against my lips and I smile. "I love you too" I whisper before seeing Clary motioning to follow her and Magnus from the corner of my eye
I sigh looking up at Alec's eyes. "I'll see you in a bit okay. I am totally going to show this off to Clary" I say and he smirks
"See you soon darling" he whispers pecking my lips before letting me scurry off to the back door where Clary and Magnus went
"He proposed" I said softly holding my left hand up. Clary sighs looking at me sadly. "It's not the Alec from our dimension Liz" she says and I frown looking down
"Yeah he put a ring on a different girl" I mumble
" What if this doesn't work?" Clary asks as Magnus begins working his magic. He scoffs slightly
"It will, biscuit I can feel it." He says concentrating once more. "You know, if you were having second thoughts about us, you could have told me, instead of coming down here and hooking up with some random guy." A voice cuts in
"Jace calm down" I say and he glares at me. "You should have told me she was cheating on me!" "Jace, this isn't exactly a good time." Clary says
"Really? You know when would be a good time for me, Clary? Never.Never call me again." He says and I roll my eyes
This Jace is more annoying than our world Jace. All this drama was interrupted when suddenly a demon came out of nowhere almost knocking us down
I quickly grabbed the nearest thing hitting it on the head making it fall to the floor but I knew it was still alive. "Clary take Jace somewhere else!" I yell as the demon gets back up hissing at me
"What the hell is that thing?" Jace yells as Clary grabs his arm. "Let's go." Clary yells as she runs around a small corner
The demon lunges at me pushing me against the wall and I hear an awful crack and a sharp pain in my head as I felt the teeth sink into my neck before passing out completely
