Unexpected Love

Chapter 25

Elizabeth's POV
"I've been waiting for this for so many years oh my god!" Izzy squealed as Alec was talking to his parents

"Iz I've only been here for a couple weeks" I laughed and she rolled her eyes. "Whatever you buzzkill. Love the dramatic entrance by the way"

"Um that was all me thank you" Magnus says raising his hand with a smirk and I look at Alec who was left alone as Maryse and Robert stalked off and he looked sad

"Guys I'll be back" I mumbled as I took quick strides to Alec. "Hey Al what's wrong?" I ask softly standing in front of him and his face immediately brightened as he wrapped his arms around my waist

"How could anything be wrong when I have the girl of my dreams in my arms?" He asks and I chuckled rolling my eyes

"You're going soft on me" I said and he immediately glares at me. "I'm a bad ass" he says sending me a wink and I died a little with how much I laughed

"Oh yeah totally" I said giving him a sarcastic nod. He smiled at me before leaning down and pressing a quick and sweet kiss to my lips making me blush and smile up at him

"I'm never going to get tired of doing that" he whispers and he suddenly ducks with me in his arms as something is thrown in our direction

Looking at the wall one of Izzys stilettos is stuck there and I looked at her wide eyed. "We're you trying to kill us?!?" I asked and she shrugged

"Get a room with the PDA" she says smiling innocently and I gasp as Alec throws me over his shoulder and begins to walk off

"We will!" He yells before running off to his room like we were young stupid teenagers which we kind of were

I laughed as he set me down on my feet before pulling him in for another kiss. Smiling into it he pulls me closer before pulling back

"Hhmmm do you remember something?" He asks and I looked at him confused as he lifted me up setting me down on his desk

"One of our firsts was here. I recall you throwing a shirtless picture of me" he smirked and I nodded

"That should be my new screensaver" I said before beckoning him closer. "I remember doing something like this" I said wrapping my legs around his waist as my hands draped over his shoulders

"And I recall giving you a long speech before finally doing this" he said pressing his lips against mine

We had shared a million kisses within the last half an hour and I wasn't complaining one bit as the sweet feeling of kissing Alec coursed throughout my body

"I love you" he whispers pulling away but keeping his eyes closed.

"I love you" I whispered back kissing his cheek before he stepped back. "I can't believe you crashed my wedding" he chuckled sitting at his desk chair looking up at me

"I can't believe you had a wedding. Speaking of which how is Lydia?" I ask and he raises a brow. "You literally hate her" he deadpans and I sigh

"I'm not going to say we're best friends or that we get along but I don't hate her." I said and he shrugs

"I haven't really checked up on her yet" he said scratching the back of his neck. "You go talk to Lydia and I'm going to find Izzy okay?" I say and he nods giving me a quick peck on the cheek before we both parted ways

Searching for Izzy I saw Hodge in a rush looking frantic. "Hodge you okay?" I ask and he glared at me before pushing me roughly into the wall hearing a loud bang and a soaring pain in my head I groaned as he ran off but I was too dizzy to follow after him

Kneeling on the floor with one hand supporting myself on the wall I touched my head grimacing when the pain intensified and I pulled back seeing the blood on my fingers

"The one time I need a frickin stele" I mumbled getting up to my feet and making my way down the direction Hodge had gone

I don't really know why considering he was long gone but I mean how could he leave the institute

And what was with that whole stunt he just pulled

Wincing i looked around trying to spot a familiar face when I saw Alec walking out the infirmary biting his nails anxiously

"Alec!" I called out wincing and his eyes snapped to mine his eyes showing concern immediately as he walked towards me

"What happened?" He asks as he saw my wound. "I saw Hodge looking panicked and Frantic so I asked him what was wrong but he pushed me to the wall and I heard a crack and have a killer headache. I think he left through a portal but that's impossible right? He can't leave the institute. I don't even know why he pushed me-"

Alec quickly shushes me cutting off my rambling as he runs his hands through his hair. "He attacked Lydia and took the cup. He's been a traitor working for Valentine the whole time" he frowns and I take Alec's hand squeezing it slightly

"How's Lydia? Is she okay?" I ask and he nods. "She'll be just fine but I think we should tend to your injury" he says leading me inside and setting me on one of the empty beds

"Ohh Dr. Lightwood I think I'm feeling a little hot" I said as he rolled up his sleeves showing his muscles and he blushed a bright pink as he gave me a look

"Seriously?" He asked and I couldn't help the smile on my face as I placed my hands on his flushed cheeks

"You're so cute when you blush!" I said and he blushed even harder. "Stop it!" He mumbled before taking some alcohol and pouring it on a clean cloth

"Alec no" I pout and he rolls his eyes. "El it'll only sting for a few seconds calm down. I need to clean it before activating your iratze which I seem to do a lot. Can you please stay away from danger love?"

I chuckled before hissing as Alec placed the cloth on my head cleaning

"You're taking your sweet time!" I glared and he smiled. "Only the best for my love" he said and I suddenly forgot why I was mad

Once he was done he activated my iratze and I instantly felt better. "How are you feeling now?" Alec asks and I pretend to think

"Would you kiss it better if it hurts?" I ask and he rolled his eyes but still smiled nodding. "I don't know I think my lips still hurt" I said nodding to myself as though it was the most important thing in the world

"Well I can't leave you in pain can I?" He asked and I shook my head as he kissed me softly for a few seconds before pulling back

"As much as I love doing this we have to go deal with our major problem. Hodge left and has the cup and Valentine is still out there"

"Ugh problems"
