Jace's POV
Clary and I ran out the building as quick as we could. We didn't want to leave her behind but we had to

We didn't have a choice as we continued our path turning a corner as Clary tugged on my arm breathing heavily

"We are coming back for her" she pants as she rests her hands on her knees. "Of course but we can't right now" I say and she continues to pant leaning against the wall

"She can handle herself I'm sure of it. She's going to be fine" Clary breathes out and I had an immense guilt spread against my chest

"Yeah she'll be fine for now" I say frowning.

I don't think she will though

Clary's POV
This is how she is going to prove herself to mom I guess. Whether or not she can handle this

I know my mom is still alive and I can only hope so will Elizabeth be once we come back for her

It's just too risky right now

We can't risk the mortal cup

Plus if she's as great as she thinks she is sometimes this is a piece of cake for her. Right?

Izzy's POV
I could feel Alec's anger radiate off him in waves. He punches Jace in the face knocking him to the floor as he quickly leans down pressing his knee of his chest and holding his hands against his collar as he begins to talk but I tune them out turning my anger at Clary

"How dare you do something like this?" I yell glaring at her. "Hey we just saved you from your trial!" She cries holding her hands up in defense

"Yet you leave your sister behind to die! That was my future parabatai!" I scream as I push her roughly to the wall making her wince in pain

"If she dies I will murder you myself. How could you be so selfish? Just to save your own life after Elizabeth has risked hers over and over again for you" I say slapping her hard against the face and storming off

Alec's POV
"You did what?" I yell completely outraged as Clary and Jace stand these with guilt ridden expressions.

"He was going to have the mortal cup" Jace sighs. I clench my fist tightly as the anger courses through my veins

They left my El out there to die

I didn't even get the chance to tell her I love her

To tell her I didn't want this stupid wedding

That all I wanted was her

I pinged forward punching Jace in the face quickly leaning down pressing my knee against his chest as I grabbed his collar

"I don't care if you're my parabatai I will kill you with my bare hands" I yell as I punch him again

He wasn't even fighting back or struggling

"You left an innocent girl out there with a guy who has wanted her since the beginning. If she dies the blood is on your fucking hands Jace" I shout punching him again as he spits out blood on the floor

"You didn't even want her here at first why do you care so much? You're getting married to another girl" he groans out

"I care because I'm fucking in love with her and I may never be able to tell her that because of your stupid self" I spit sending a last punch to his face as I got up wiping away my fist hag was covered in jace's blood

"I'm going to get her back" I say coldly to Jace who was still lying on the floor and Clary who had a shock written faced with a hand to her red cheek which I was sure was Izzy's doing
