Unexpected Love

Chapter 14

Elizabeth's POV
Waking up at three in the morning was not fun I have officially found out. At least I don't have a headache anymore

Sighing to myself I brushed my teeth and decided to walk around only to find Alec in the training room punching a punching bag

"How about you fight a real person" I said getting close to him. He looks at me with a small smile

"Back to normal I see?" He states and I roll my eyes as I grabbed his hand quickly flipping him over my shoulder as he hits the floor with a grunt

"Well I'm still kicking your ass so yes I think I am back to normal" I say and he glares at me. " you cheated!" He groaned

I shrug and smiled innocently. "I didn't chest Lightwood. You just suck compared to me" I said flipping my hair dramatically

He comes for me but suddenly it was as I was seeing in slow motion and I quickly turned grabbing his arm and twisting it behind his back

I didn't think about questioning anything as I kept my eyes focused on Alec

He huffs. "How are you so quick?" He ask as he as he frees his arm and quickly and knocks me to the floor

I quickly wrapped my legs around his neck holding him in a choking position. "I train a lot" I said as he taps my legs

I quickly get up seeing as he breathes heavily. I realized his finger was twitching in his left hand and quickly squat down as he randomly swung at me

Kicking his legs from under him he falls back with a grunt and I place a foot on his chest. "You're welcome" I said

"You're a ninja" he groans as I help him up. I burst out laughing just as an unexpected voice is heard

"What is going on here?" A voice says. I roll my eyes as Alec tenses up. "Nothing mom we were just training" he said and Maryse glares at me

"Both of you may end your training and go to your rooms" she says with a pointed look as she walks off

"She is not my mother to be ordering me around and your not one that should be bossed around Alec" I huff and he shrugs as we begin to walk to our rooms

"Wait.... What is your mom doing awake at three in the morning"?

Waking up for the second time I groan as someone jumps on me. "Liz get up!" Izzy's voice says and I shake my head

"Leave me alone!" I grumble twisting my body away and cuddling to my sheets. "El come on" Alec's voice says this time

"Lightwoods" I mumble under my breath rolling my eyes as I sit up. Alec smiles at me softly as Izzy grins

"Come on I want you to meet my baby brother!" Izzy says as she pulls me up. "Let me freshen up first and I'll meet you guys in ten" I said as she nodded

"Oh wait! I chose your outfit for the day" she said handing me folded close. After showering and brushing my teeth I changed into the outfit Izzy had chosen

It consisted of a leather black skirt and a black lace crop top with of course heels and a place to put some of my weapons and stele

Looking at myself in the mirror I shrugged before walking out and meeting Alec and Izzy in a hallway with a young boy

"I'm here!" I said walking up to them. Izzy smirks nodding to herself as she inspects her choice of outfit and Alec's eyes widen when he sees me

He blushed rubbing the back of his neck as he looks back at who I am assuming is their younger brother

" hi I'm Elizabeth but most people call me Liz. You're Max right?" I said squatting down to be at his eye level

He grins nodding. "Yeah I'm Max. Nice to meet you Liz. Izzy says you're going to be here parabatai and that your Alec's girlfriend" he says

Alec's eyes widen as he glares at Izzy. "We're just friend Max. Izzy I think dad needed you for something. Liz and Max you guys come with me" he says and I chuckle as Max holds my hand as we walk

"Alec, you think you could get my stele back?" Max asks as he looks at his older brother with a pleading look

"They took it away because you nearly burnt down the Mumbai Institute." He deadpans making me giggle a bit as Max sighs heavily

"How many times do I have to say it was an accident?" Max complains and Alec adjusts the bow and arrows on his back looking at Max

"Look, Max.Somebody very important is coming to visit.All right? You think you can stay out of trouble for just a couple days? If you do, I promise I'll get your stele back."

Just as he said that we passed the elevators as they dinged. Valentine entered smirking and Alec quickly shot an arrow as I threw a throwing knife at him as I push Max behind me

Valentine caught the arrow but the knife buried itself in his shoulder making him since slightly as he pulls out his stele and runs it over a rune

Valentine began to change and soon it was a girl with blonde hair and blue eyes. She took the knife out her shoulder before running here stele over her iratze

"That reaction time was abysmal.Except for you two" she says as most of the institute gathers around

"I'm Lydia Branwell, envoy from the Clave"
