Chapter 10: Feb 10
I woke up this morning, getting ready to leave. Livia had decided she would come before I left so she can help me. I had one crutch on my left side, opposite to where my broken ribs were, just to give me a bit of support, the doctor said I should come back in about 5 weeks to see how I'm doing and whether or not I need anything else.
Livia arrived, helped me with my stuff and we walked out, my mum picked us up.
It was a quiet ride home, then Mum broke the silence.
"Micky, your father and I have been thinking... It was a bit unfair to ground you for something that wasn't your fault. We understand you were trying to defend yourself, and that Bonnie is just a self-absorbed bitch. I have called the school and asked that they shouldn't consider suspension anymore... Where they informed me that they couldn't, because they were told most of the story already by some students who were watching."
"Thanks Mum..."
Livia hugged me, but really lightly, in an attempt to not cause me any more pain. She didn't succeed. I just wanted to go back to my room and hug a pillow for hours on end.
We hung out at my house for a little bit, and rewatched the first season of Riverdale. Saw a couple of things that neither of us had noticed when we first watched it, discussed theories on who might be the real Black Hood.
"I feel like you should tell Sheldon that you've been un-grounded. He might ask you out again," Liv suggested.
"Yeah, maybe. It depends."
"Hey, ask your mum if I can stay the night, I'll text mine."
"Sure, sounds like a good idea. Oh, and we can start season 2 tomorrow!"
"YES!" She screamed.
I left, careful about getting off my bed, and went to the kitchen to ask if Livia could stay over.
I got the simple answer of "Ask your dad."
"Dad, can Livia stay the night!?" I yelled towards the lounge room.
"Ask your mother!"
"Mum," I deadpanned, turning back to my mother.
"Fine, what does her mum say?"
"I'll go check," I replied, hobbling back to my room.
"Liv, what did your mum say?"
"As long as it's okay with yours!"
"Awesome, that means yes then," I replied, "Mum! She said yes!" I yelled out to my mother.
"Ok, Liv. Do you have your stuff?" I asked.
"No, but I can get Steph to drop it off for me."
"Cool, get her to do that now."
We did fuck-all the rest of the afternoon, apart from set up an air mattress and sleeping bag for Livia.
Steph arrived at the door with a bag of Livia's essentials. Pyjamas, clothes, underwear, girl-stuff and a pillow.
"I'm surprised she didn't purposely forget anything. Mum probably checked it before she came over..." Livia joked.
"Haha, yeah probably." It was silent for a moment and I turned on my TV so we could watch Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
"I feel like there's a ghost at my house."
"Really?"
"A bunch of weird things happened. Like I turned off my radio the other day, and it turned back on a few seconds later."
"Hm."
"I've named him Kevin."
"Oh my god, really?" I laughed. Bad idea to laugh but I didn't care. I can totally tolerate the pain.
She nodded, still laughing.
It got to around 6 before Mum called us out for dinner, she had ordered pizza.
"YAS!" We screamed before I nearly ended up on the floor in pain, again. Mum had to get my painkillers for me, then I got to enjoy pizza.
We enjoyed that, and there was still leftovers, so we'd be having that for lunch tomorrow.
We stayed up until midnight reading Sprousehart and Bughead fan-fictions on Wattpad
We practically blacked out around midnight because it had gotten so late.
