Chapter 20: February 28

This morning was your normal drill. Get up, get dressed, breakfast, go to school.

The bus ride was boring. I went to the office and got the folders, as usual, gave them to the teachers, got my stuff. Livia told me she'd be staying with Kat at the hospital, so she wouldn't be at school today.

Shannon ignored everyone again, listening to Linkin Park again.

"How was your weekend, Child?" Kasey asked.

"Pretty disastrous, to be honest. I mean, Saturday was pretty good, but yesterday was kind of all over the place. Yours?" I replied.

"I went to Charlie's."

"Nice."

"So what happened yesterday? Why weren't you at school?"

"Livia and I had gone out shopping, and we had called Kat because we hadn't seen him all week. Turns out he was taken Traralgon of all places, and being tortured by Karly and Mia."

"Oh. Holy shit. How is he?"

"In hospital, with a shitload of injuries. Livia's staying with him today."

"Okay then."

The bell went, and we all went to class. I had PE with Adele and Kasey. It was boring. We started a new assignment on relationships and stuff. Like I needed to know. All it was, was watching videos and answering questions.

Period 2, I had economics with Adele and Sheldon, of course we all sat together. Didn't do much though. Really, we procrastinated. We did everything but economics. I ended up forcing Adele to take a Harry Potter Sorting Hat quiz.

I didn't see Sheldon at recess, probably because we has hanging out with Shannon this time, so I was with Adele and Kasey.

"Yee, I just got the best news." Kasey said.

"What's that?" I asked.

"Charlie is moving here soon, so you'll get to meet her!"

"Awesome! At least she'll have friends as soon as she gets here."

"I'm gonna go to the bathroom to call James, wanna come?" Adele asked.

"Alright, sure."

We stood in silence as Adele called James. I turned to Kasey. "This month has been not very good so far... I can't write for a month and a half, Kat nearly died, and Shannon is choosing to ignore everyone that he doesn't call a close friend."

"Ha, yeah, hopefully things improve."

Period 3, I had drama with Livia, but she isn't at school today, and we were meant to be practicing a performance. The teacher let me work on stuff for other classes, so I continued on my Romeo and Juliet work for English. I used this as a quick way to text Livia.

Michaela: Hey Liv, how's Kat?

Livia: He's better than he was last night, that's for sure

Michaela: Well that's good, has he eaten much?

Livia: Surprisingly not... he said he was given food but the doctors said their almost considering tube feeding, he wasn't given much at all, he's starving...

Michaela: I'm worried about him, I'll come over after school with Shannon, see you then, I have to go

Livia: Ok, see you tonight

Period 4 was math. It was boring, that's expected. We just did modules the whole time. I had finished mine, so I just sketched some stuff in my book.

At lunch, I was with Adele and Kasey again, we walked around the school. We came upon a large gathering of students on the basketball court, so we went to have a look. I made my way to the front to see Sheldon under Alan, struggling to fight him off. I heard a few boys yelling 'Fight, fight, fight!" Repeatedly and it worried me.
