Chapter 25: March 23

(MICHAELA'S POV)

Mum and dad woke me and Shannon up this morning around 5AM before they went off to the city, I was careful not to wake Livia up while getting out of bed. I gave them each a hug and a kiss. "Drive safe, I love you." "Love you too. Remember, don't set the house on fire. Stay on the safe side, don't let Shannon have access to the stove."

Shannon, still half-asleep, growled at them.

I laughed. "We'll be fine, Mum."

I gave them one last hug before they left and went back to bed.

I only got another 2 hours before my alarm went off. We got dressed and went to have breakfast. I made toast for Livia and I and Shannon made himself cereal. I shoved my computer in my bag, tied my shoes and we left. It was early, so the bus wouldn't be arriving for another 30 minutes, which is roughly the time it takes to get to school walking, so we headed out and dropped by Sheldon's house on the way there so we could walk with him, Shannon lagged behind us, on the phone to Kat. We got to school around 8:50, I got the folders and put them in the classrooms and got my books, Livia and Sheldon went off to Care Group and I met Kasey inside.

"We're gonna be living on our own for a few days, Kase." I said.

"Why? And how?" She asked.

"Mum and dad are going to the city for a business trip, so we have to look after ourselves. You can come over anytime you want."

"Woo, can Adele come too?"

"Why wouldn't she?"

"I don't know, dumb question."

"Tonight, after school. We're gonna binge Netflix."

"What show?"

"Anything, I have no idea yet."

"I guess we'll figure it out. Tonight though, I won't be able to walk with you to your house, I need to get changed and grab some stuff first." Kasey went back to drawing.

"Alrighty then."

The bell went, I had Japanese first. I met Livia and Sheldon outside the classroom, the teacher brought us in. We sat in the same row, I sat between Livia and Sheldon. We greeted the sensei, like always. "Sensei, ohayou gozaimasu."
Good morning, Miss. Renner.

"Ohayou gozaimasu, suwatte kudasai."
Good morning, sit down please.
We did a few of the workbook exercises before the bell went.

In period 2, I had P.E with Adele and Kasey, it was theory though, so we did nothing. Literally nothing, we weren't listening to the teacher, whatever he was talking about, was boring. So I made some drawings, Kasey continued on with her story, 'The Monster Within', and Adele did some drawings of her own. We asked her if she wanted to come over tonight, but she said she couldn't because she had dancing.

At recess, I hung out with Livia, Sheldon, Kasey and Adele again. We didn't know what to do, so we just stood there, until Sheldon said something.

"Should we do something over the weekend, since Michaela's parents aren't going to be home?"

"I'm already having Kasey and Adele over tonight, but maybe we can do something on Sunday."

"Sure, Do you want me to come to yours again?"

"Sounds good! Do we have English next?"

"I think we do, are the questions due today?"

"They are, I think I finished them yesterday, thankfully. I'm gonna get my stuff, wanna come?" I asked Livia and Sheldon.
