Elana P.O.V

Diggy and I didn’t speak as the car went down the smooth roads of New Jersey. I could tell he was pretty scared by the way he tapped his fingers against the wheel at every red light. I already knew that if our parents found out we all be in lots of trouble but it’s worth it I think. We pulled into the parking lot and got out the car. Diggy rang the doorbell and Twist opened it with a welcoming smile. We stepped inside the warm mansion and went directly to the kitchen where Tristen sat. A smile came upon my face when I saw her. She don’t even know what is about to happen.

We sat down at the kitchen counter as Iris aunt pulled up to the drive way. Iris showed up two minutes later looking half bored to death but she gave Elana a sneaky grin so I know she brought it.

Diggy: How was it reuniting with your “aunt”?

Iris: It sucked badly. That guy she was into more than me was there. I can’t stand her! I’m glad I know who my real mom is because she doesn’t even care about me. I really didn’t see the point of her visiting.

Diggy: I’m not going to even ask about what activities you did with her

Iris: *laughs then sits on stool*

Iris turned around and looked at Elana before looking at Tristen who was now texting on her phone. I signaled Twist to hurry up and get it started because I felt to uncomfortable. Tristen is my friend but if this goes down wrong then she is going to be extremely upset at me and I don’t need anymore problems from girls.

Twist: Alright dinner is ready. Elana, Iris ya’ll got something to say to Tristen.

Elana: *smiles* its nice seeing you again Tristen. *gets up and gives her a warm hug*

Iris: Yeah I missed you girl *hugs her too*

Tristen: Nice to see you guys too *smiles*

I couldn’t help but shake my head to that. She just doesn’t know what she is getting herself into.

As dinner proceeded; Elana continued being nice. By that time I realized this plan couldn’t fail.

Tristen: I’m going to go to the bathroom.

Iris: Would you like me to refill your cup of lemonade?

Tristen: Uh…Sure *smiles and goes to bathroom*

I watched as Iris poured more lemonade into Tristen’s cup. She took a white packet from her pocket and poured some in there before mixing it with a spoon. We all looked at each other before Elana grinned and ate the last of her supper. Tristen came back out and drunk some of the lemonade. I looked at Iris wondering what kind of stuff she put in the lemonade. She continued to stare at Tristen as she drank more and more of the lemonade.

Tristen: This lemonade isn’t that bad. It’s just that *yawns* I’m getting tired.

Diggy: Well maybe we should go home then

Tristen: Oh no you can…stay *falls asleep in chair*

Twist: What now?!

Iris: Nobody panic. I just gave her some sleeping medicine. She is going to be out cold for the next few hours. We got to leave now.

Elana: Diggy start the car.

Diggy: What am I getting myself into?

Elana: Start the car!!

Diggy got up and left the kitchen. I never saw Elana yell at Diggy like that. We all kind of jumped to Elana being the loud and frantic. I lifted Tristen into my arms. Her body was slumped over my shoulder as if she was dead. I carried her out to my car and strapped her in the back seat. Iris hopped in the front seat and waited patiently for me to get in. I closed the door and waited for Diggy to back out the drive way. I followed behind them occasionally checking my rearview mirror to see how Tristen was.
