Two days later…

Elana P.O.V

~~Morning

I sat up in the bed with wild hair and an empty stomach. I called Mr. Shultz. It was about 8:00am when I called. He picked up and already knew it was me.

Mr. Shultz: Good morning Elana, did you have a good rest?

Elana: No, I tossed and turned all night.

Mr. Shultz: Well that’s okay but you did eat right?

Elana: I haven’t eaten since I got in trouble.

Mr. Shultz: Uh oh, how do you feel?

Elana: Weak really weak.

Mr. Shultz: I think its time we meet in person.

Elana: Okay.

Mr. Shultz: I’m going to come to your house and talk to you face to face because over the phone doesn’t seem to work. By the way are you suicidal by any chance?

Elana: No…

Mr. Shultz: Okay I’ll be there and in the mean time you stay by the phone.

I hung up with him and drifted to sleep knowing he was helping me to get better. I woke up a little later to the sound of my phone ringing. I answered and spoke to him again. He was pulling up into the driveway. I got out of bed and dragged my self downstairs. I looked like a ghost and felt like a ghost too. I was invisible to my own family. He knocked on the door and I opened it. I guided him upstairs to my room where I collapsed on the bed. I observed the tall man who had on a doctor coat with his nametag glistening in the sunlight. He had a bald spot in the middle like typical middle aged men and a warming smile to ensure that I would be okay.

Mr. Shultz: I brought a chef and a nurse to make sure you will feel and look healthy today. I want to talk to you but you have to eat first.

Elana: I don’t want to eat.

Mr.Shultz: Well if you come see what you’re eating you might just like it.

He took my hand and dragged me with him downstairs. He opened the door and motioned the man and woman to come in. The nurse smiled as she came in with her nurse bag. She wore a tweeted bird nurse shirt and pants of a solid color that matched. The chef had some groceries with him. I looked at his chef hat as he entered before closing the door. They walked directly into the kitchen where I knew Diggy was. My stomach churned and I fell to the floor. Mr. Shultz helped me up as I started crying.

Mr. Shultz: Don’t worry about your family

He guided me in the kitchen and sat me down in the stool. The tears slipped from eyes as I kept my head down. The room was quiet and the only people talking were the nurse and chef.

Nurse: Hi I’m Nurse Patricia and I’m working with Elana today.

Chef: And I’m Chef Miguel and I’m with her also.

No one said anything which made it even more uncomfortable.

Mr. Shultz: I want you to take deep breaths and exhale.

I looked up and did as he told. My heart raced and I turned to the chef who started cutting fresh fruits. Nurse Patricia came over to me and sat next to me.

Nurse Patricia: Elana its really important that you eat because your body is losing its nutrients and your getting tired.

Elana: I can’t

I broke into a cry. I was using the table as a support system for my body because I could barely sit straight.

Elana: I just want it to go away

Mr.Shultz: What to go away?

Elana: All of this

I sobbed leaving Patricia to rub my back.

Mr. Shultz: I know but you have to better yourself.

Elana: I rather wait until he does it.

Mr. Shultz: well if we wait you might be suicidal after he says it therefore if you don’t get help now or try to get a little less depressed I fear you will go into a different mind state about everything. Are you positive he is really going to do it?

Elana: Yes

Mr. Shultz: Well if I let him know what happened a few days ago maybe he reconsider. Which boy is it?

I pointed and he went over to Daniel. They both walked into the living room. Daniel passed me leaving his lingering scent. I put my head in my hands.
