I was currently in an intense game of pool with Wendy at Twist. The loser would have to pay the others tab for the night and I didn't plan on losing.

"Eight ball side pocket." I said as I lined up my shot.

I took the shot and sunk it, jumping up and screaming in joy as the small crowd around us cheered.

"Son of a-" Wendy started, but I cut her off.

"Woo! One Corona and a shot of Jack!" I yelled to Blake, who was behind the bar, chuckling to herself.

Wendy and I made our way over, a huge smile plastered on my face.

"Why do I even bother? I never beat you." Wendy whined.

"Suck it, loser." I said as I downed my shot.

"Gonna need a microscope for that." She countered.

I just laughed and sipped my Corona.

"Need a drink?" Blake asked Wendy.

"Put it on my tab." I replied, laughing harder.

Wendy just rolled her eyes and ordered a beer...

We hung out there for a while, drinking, until closing when Blake asked, "You guys wanna stay after for some drinks? It's on the house."

Wendy glanced at me and I glanced back, knowing full well Blake only asked that if she was having a bad day.

We agreed and Blake made her way over to lock the door.

"What's wrong with Blake?" Wendy whispered.

I shrugged as Blake made her way back behind the bar and set three beers in front of us.

"Having a bad day?" I asked.

Blake looked at the floor before answering. "You could say that... Leslie dumped me today..."

Wendy and I took another quick glance at each other.

Leslie had been Blake's girlfriend for over four years, Blake was gonna ask her to move in with her today.

"Why?" Wendy asked.

I nudged her and gave her a look.

"It's alright, I'd end up telling you guys eventually anyway... She said she got a job opportunity in Canada and a long distance relationship wasn't what she was looking for. I'm so stupid to think someone like her would stay with me forever..." Blake finished.

"I'm sorry, Blake, but she's stupid for leaving someone like you." I stated.

"Yeah, you're super hot and, like, really nice. Plus, you're the coolest chick in town." Wendy added.

Blake glanced between the two of us, her eyes a little brighter. "Thanks guys... I mean it."

"Well, it came from the bottom of our hearts." Wendy said, I nodded in agreement.

She smiled. "I knew I kept you guys around for a reason... But, now that the mushy stuffs outta the way, lets get fucked up!" Blake shouted, a huge smile spreading on her face...

Wendy and I stumbled out of the bar at around four in the morning.

We giggled all the way to my car and I opened her door before taking a bow.

"Your chariot, m'lady." I said, almost falling over from laughter... and, well, a bunch of alcohol.

She giggled as she returned my tipsy bow and sat in the passenger seat. I fumbled with my keys as I made my way to the drivers side. Just as I was getting ready to put my key in the lock, an eerily familiar truck pulled into the parking lot.
