"I almost had him, 'til that damn cop pulled me over." I said, downing my shot."What car did you say he had?" Blake asked.
"A blacked-out Toyota, why?"
"Because, one just pulled into the parking lot." She replied, looking out the window.
I took a glance out the window before jumping up and marching outside.
Sure enough, Steve stepped out as I approached his car.
"Skylar? funny meeting you here." He said, a sly smirk on his face.
"What the fuck is your problem!?" I shouted.
He raised his hands in fake surrender. "I'm just here to get a drink."
"Bullshit."
"It is a bar." He replied smugly.
I rolled my eyes. "A lesbian bar and you're not even twenty-one."
"Never stopped me before."
I grabbed him by the collar and pulled him close enough to hear my whisper.
"If you don't leave me the fuck alone you're gonna be in a world of hurt, asshole." I released his shirt, shoving him back.
With one last glare, I turned to walk back inside.
"You better watch who you talk to like that, bitch." He said, stepping forward to follow me.
I spun around quickly, pointing my pocket knife in his direction.
"No, you better watch who you're fucking with." I said, staring him dead in the eyes.
He put his hands up again and slowly backed up towards his car before getting into the driver seat.
"I'll be seeing you, Skylar." He said before closing his door and taking off down the street.
I shakily put my knife away and leaned against the outside wall of Twist. I slowly slid down the wall to a sitting position on the ground and lit a cigarette as Blake came rushing out.
"Are you ok?" She asked, kneeling down next to me.
I rubbed my forehead. "No..."
She pulled me into a reassuring hug before the tears started flowing.
"Why don't you head home? I'll be ok here." She said.
I nodded before she helped me to my feet.
I got in my car and waved Blake off as I made my way down the street.
I pulled my phone out and dialed up my dad, he answered after the second ring. "Skylar? What's up?"
"Dad... I need your help."
"What's wrong?"
"Can I come over?"
"Of course."
I thanked him before hanging up my phone...
I pulled in front of his house shortly after and saw him sitting on the front porch.
I got out and made my way up to him.
"Let's talk inside." He said as he led me into the kitchen.
I sat at the table and lit up another cigarette.
"We need to put an end to this bullshit once and for all." I said shakily.
