I awoke the next morning to a soar neck and the alluring sent of pancakes. I poked my head up and saw Wendy in the kitchen making breakfast.

   "Sleep well?"

I rubbed the back of my neck. "Like a baby... If that baby was in a headlock."

She chuckled as I made my way into the kitchen.

"Pancakes and coffee, that's still your favorite, right?"

   "Yeah, but you didn't ha-"

"Don't start, it's to early, just enjoy." She said as she slid me the plate and mug.

"These are delicious." I said after taking a bite.

   She smiled. "Well, thanks."

I scarfed the rest down and enjoyed the rest of my coffee before rinsing the dishes.

"So, I was thinking..." She said as she plopped down on the couch.

"Uh oh, that's never good." I replied, sitting down next to her.

She rolled her eyes. "Oh, shut up."

   I chuckled.

"So, as I was saying. I was thinking, since your dads there for a couple days, how about you crash here for a couple days?"

   "You sure?"

   "Yep, rent free."

I laughed. "Thanks, I really appreciate it."

   "Not a problem at all."

After we showered and prepared for the day, we made our way to Twist. I couldn't help but think about Rebecca the whole way there. The way she looked, the way her lips felt on mine, the way I was gonna blow her away with an awesome date... Wait, where was I gonna take her?

   "Shit."

"What?" Wendy asked, glancing at me.

    "Uh, nothing."

'Did I say that out loud?' I thought.

"You don't know where your gonna take Rebecca do you?"

"Dammit, how do you do that?"

   "Sisterly senses." She joked.

   We both laughed.

   "Got any ideas?" She asked

"A couple. Is taking her to the movies to cheesy?"

"Yes. How about a nice date in the park?"

I shrugged. "Nature's not really my thing."

She chuckled. "Nothings really your thing, Skylar."

I smiled. "Exactly. I bet Blake has some good ideas."

"I got nothing." Blake said from behind the bar.

I dropped my head on the bar. "Ugh... I'm so screwed."

   "Pretty much." Wendy said.

"You said Friday, right?" Blake asked.

   I looked up. "Yeah, Why?"

"I close early Friday, maybe I could let you guys have it here. Just the two of you."

   "Really?"

"Sure, as long as you promise not to burn the place down."

   "We'll see about that."
