I awoke to the sound of my moms high pitched yelling from my doorway.

"Five more minutes..." I said tiredly before rolling over and putting my pillow over my head.

"Skylar! Wake up! It's your sisters graduation and we're gonna be late if you don't get ready now!"

I sat up quickly. 'How could I have forgotten?'

"Alright, alright, I'm up." I said as I hauled myself out of bed and made my way to the bathroom.

I showered quickly and returned to my room to pick out an outfit. I decided to dress nice and pulled the only dress I owned off the hanger.

I quickly put it on and looked at myself in the mirror. The tight, black dress clung to my body and I nodded to myself with a smile before looking for my makeup.

After finishing up my makeup, I made my way downstairs where my mom and Beth were already waiting.

"Took you long enough." Beth said rolling her eyes.

   "Whatever. Where's dad?"

"He's meeting us there, now let's go." My mom replied before hurrying us out the door.

We piled into her car and made our way down the street towards the school.

My phone rang in my purse and I pulled it out before answering. "Hello?"

"Hey, Skylar, wish the little one a happy graduation for me." Wendy said.

   "Your aren't coming?"

"Sorry, can't. I'm meeting Jens parents today."

"Alright, well, good luck with that."

   "Thanks, you to."

I smiled to myself as we said our goodbyes and returned my phone to my purse.

We pulled up in front of the school with just enough time to rush in and find our seats. We spotted my dad, who was waving us over.

We wished Beth good luck and went our separate ways, taking the two empty seats next to my dad. I sat in between them as usual.

"What took you guys so long?" He asked.

"Take a guess?" My mom replied.

   "I forgot, I already apologized."

"It's ok, kid." My dad said, patting my shoulder.

We waited for what seemed like hours for Beth's name to be called.

"Ahh, I remember graduation." I said.

"How? You and Wendy got black out drunk the night before and slept in." My mom replied.

"Yeah. Good times." I replied, causing my dad to laugh.

"Rebecca June." I heard through the microphone and clapped my hands, cheering.

She walked up and got her diploma and picture before exiting the stage.

Eventually, they called Beth's name and we all stood up and cheered, My mom taking pictures the whole time. Beth rolled her eyes from embarrassment as she got her diploma and exited the stage.

After the ceremony, we met Beth and Stephanie in the crowd and congratulated them. My mom was crying of course as she pulled them in for a huge hug.

I snickered to myself as I made my way through the crowd, looking for Rebecca. I spotted her and made my way over.

"Congra-" I stopped myself when I saw her mom standing next to her, talking to Mr. Wilkes.
