It wasn't until junior year Hal Cooper had even taken a glance at Alice Smith. Hal was from the northside and Alice was from the southside of Riverdale. The only thing they had in common was the school they went to, Riverdale High. Over their three years at Riverdale High they had many classes together, but Hal never took an interest. He considered her southside trash just like Fp Jones. Fp was also from the southside. He and Alice grew up together becoming really close friends, so when they became more nobody was really surprised. "Southside trash belongs together." Hal thought when he saw them walk the halls of the high school. Junior year changed for Hal. Thats the year he found Alice Smith more than trash, well only when she was in northside clothing. Riverdale High's drama club decided to put on a play. This was big for the high school considering it was their first one ever. Of course all of the northside students jumped at rolls and started auditioning for them immediately, but the director had another idea in mind. Tom Keller, the director, saw no difference between the south and northside, well he tried not to. He decided to let Alice and Fp have a first pick at the roles they wanted to play. The teens however weren't so eager to jump on board they took some convincing. One day after school was out, the gang, Fred, Mary, Alice, Fp, and Hermione went to Pops. they went there every Friday after school. This particular Friday Tom and his girlfriend Sierra decided to join. "Hey guys." Tom said pulling up two chairs to their booth. "Hey Tom." Fred said politely waving. Fp and Alice just looked at each other and rolled their eyes. They new what Keller was doing. He had been trying to get them to audition for the role of Sandy and Danny in his play, Grease. "Tom really are you ever going to give up?" Alice asked sipping her milkshake. "Nope not until I have you two lovebirds singing 'hopelessly devoted to you' on that stage." Tom smirked stealing a fry from Fp's plate. "And do not try to deny it I know you both can sing. I have heard Fp sing before and well, Fp likes to brag about Alice and her perfectness in the locker room." Tom laughed and Alice slapped Fp in the chest. "Fine Tom we will do it....on one condition." Fp said holding out his index finger to Tom. "Name it." Tom smiled. "If Alice is Sandy then I have to play Danny. No one I repeat no one gets to kiss my girl." Fp said putting his arm around Alice. "Deal see you monday for practice." Tom evilly smirked and put his chairs back leaving their table. "Why did you do that." Alice whined hitting Fp in the arm this time. "He was not going to leave us alone might as well do it. Who knows it might be fun." Fp smiled and squeezed Alice with the arm wrapped around her. "Wow Fp Jones and Alice Smith in a school activity that does not involve writing or sports. What have you done with my friends." Mary laughed soon joined by Hermione and Fred. They talked about random things throwing in Grease puns until everyone finished eating. "See you guys monday." Fp said as him and Alice got onto his motorcycle. They got to his trailer and sat down to watch a movie. The rest of the weekend went by faster then the teens expected. Soon enough it was sunday night and they were dreading Monday. Alice went home and got ready for Monday. The next morning she woke up and got dressed just like she would any other normal day. After breakfast Fp picked her up and they went to school. Fp drove extra slow on the way to school today. Tom was waiting outside the school doors for them. "You guys get to skip class to practice. Your welcome." Tom said opening the door. "see this might be fun." Fp smiled. "What ever." Alice rolled her eyes and walked through the doors followed by the boys. They walked into the auditorium and there were clothing racks. "Please tell me I do not have to wear these girly dresses." Alice asked taking one off the rack. "Ya sorry about that, but that is how Sandy dresses in the beginning of the play." Tom replied scratching the back of his neck. Alice heard Fp laughing. She went over to his rack and picked out a sweater he would wear later on in the play. "You think it is funny just wait tough guy your time is coming." Alice laughed and hung the sweater back up. "Ok you two your first scene is when you meet at the beach. This scene doesn't really have lines, so just act like a couple and for heaven sakes keep it pg please." Tom laughed, so did Alice and Fp. "I'll try." Fp smirked at Alice. After an hour of the beach scene Tom decided to move to the first school shot. "Now in this scene you will have you extras, so they will be here by tomorrow. I will give you guys all your scenes to practice." Tom said handing them a stack of papers. "Oh goody homework." Alice said walking away to Fp's bike. "We will see you tomorrow Tom." Fp yelled following Alice. When they got to Fp's trailer they started reading through the script. They surprisingly got really into it and acting it out how they imagined Tom would want it. Fp could tell Alice was excited, but he didn't want to ruin anything by saying it. After awhile Fp took Alice back home and they both got ready for bed. Tomorrow was their first official practice. Tuesday they didn't have so much regret like Monday morning. Fp picked her up like normal and then headed into the auditorium. They figured they were going to get glares and snooty comments because every Northsider would have killed to be the lead. The play was Saturday night, so luckily everyone set aside their differences and worked hard. Through the week Fp couldn't help but notice how friendly Hal Cooper was being with Alice. He would comment how good she looked in her dresses and how she was a great actress. Fp would usually be jealous, but Alice assured him that it was nothing and Hal just liked the clothes. Hal was not taking no for an answer. He wanted Alice Smith and he was going to prove it. The night of the play he bought her a bouquet of flowers. They were piniones, which Alice was allergic to, but it's the thought that counts right? Fp saw the flowers and threw them away knowing it would irritate Alice's allergies. Fp snuck into her dressing room before the play and went over lines with her just to make sure they were perfect. "Are you ready Ali?" Fp asked taking her hands into his. "I'm always ready with you." Alice smiled and placed a soft kiss onto his lips. "Let's rock this show." Alice smirked. They were called to stage and began their first scene. There wasn't much talking more of just having fun at the beach. By the end of the play Alice and Fp had won over the crowds hearts. The last song they would sing together was their favorite. They practiced it so much they would sing it in the car to each other. When the curtain was being dropped and the whole class was out on stage, that's when it happened. "Alice Smith. I have feelings for you and I can't hide it anymore!" Hal yelled behind the curtain. The cast gasped and Fp glared at Hal. "I'm sorry Hal, but I love Fp." She didn't even realize she had said those three words, but she couldn't have said them at a better time. Fp wrapped his arms around Alice's waist and whispered in her ear. "I love you too baby." She smiled as he spoke into her ear. She couldn't help but let out the biggest smile hearing his words. Alice tuned around in his arms and planted a kiss in his lips right in front of Hal. "Just Wait She will come crawling to me and I will be here. Waiting for her to forget about that mistake, Fp." Hal mumbled to himself walking off stage. The rest of the cast went to Pops for celebrabratory shakes. That night was great, but little did Alice and Fp know how much Hal started to pay attention to Alice. It didn't matter how much it would take he would end up with Alice Smith.
