"Well Hal, I would say you had a very nice run of hiding clothes and relationships, but you made one huge mistake." I chuckled walking into his office. "What are you talking about?" He looked at me like I was crazy. "Well right here on the inside of your collar, this is not my shade of pink lipstick." I smiled.

"And by the smell of the perfume you have on, its about forty dollars cheeper than mine. Do you have anything to say?" I asked stopping right in front of the tv. "I don't know what your talking about? Your lipstick was left in the washer when I did laundry and it stained my shirt thank you." He huffed and tried to watch the ball game that was on.

"So, my lipstick happen to be in the washer and it only stained the inside of your collar?" I raised my eyebrow at him giving him one last chance to confess. He nodded in annoyance. I scoffed and turned the tv off. "Hey!"

"Shut it Hal! I know your cheating on me!" I finally snapped. "Give me one more clue that you supposedly have and I will tell you the truth." He challenge. I rolled my eyes, but played his game. "You had a shirt in the corner of our room. I picked it up today and it had a red wine stain on the pocket. I only drink red on special occasions." I shrugged.

He stayed quiet for a moment contemplating his answer. "The divorce has to stay quiet." He blurted out. "Your pathetic." I hissed and threw the collared shirt at him. I stomped up the stairs and crammed all of his clothes into suitcases. "This is my house!" Hal yelled running up after me.

"Not anymore." I smirked and threw the clothes out of our window. "I'm sorry would you rather me hang them up so our neighbors could see al your mistakes?" I chuckled watching Hal's face turn three different types of red. "You bitch!" He yelled his tone cold as ice. I watched through the window as he gathered all his belongings and sped off in his car.

I sat there for a moment just staring into space. We were going to have a life together. We were going to have children. I sighed and plopped down on the cold bed trying to gain warmth. I thought back to the last time someone made me feel truly loved and warm. He didn't live far. Only a ten minutes away, but would he ever want to see me again.

After I told him I gave our child up for adoption he hadn't spoke to me since.  That was a year ago. I had our precious son, Charles. I miss him, I miss both of them.  My mind finally drifted to sleep letting my thoughts come to a rest.

The next morning I woke up to pounding at my door. "Hal I swear to god if that's you...FP?" I questioned seeing the man with a blond little boy. "Hi Alice." He smiled shyly and looked at the little boy in his arms. "Fred told me what happened." He sighed and I nodded.

"I just...You had to give the baby up for adoption because of Hal, so I figured you would like to see him." FP smiled and tickled the boy. "You, this is our son?" Suddenly I lost my breath. He was here with our son.

"I get if you don't want to, but I thought I'd offer..."
"Yes I would love to come in." I smiled and helped FP with the bags. "When...how did you find him?" I asked bringing my cup of coffee with me.

"When you told me that I had a son I had to find him. You had already given his name to me, so legally it was really easy to adopt my son ." He let out a chuckled and handed Charles over to me. "Hi baby." I smiled as a tear slid down my cheek. "Hey don't cry we're here, he's here and here to stay." FP brushed away my tear.

"Thank you." My tears came rushing down as I fell into FP. "It was the least I could do. I mean you did give birth to him." FP tried cracking a joke. "I don't know what to say?" I was speechless. "You can have the crib and stuff from my trailer and I can come visit. The little guy needs his mamma."  FP cooed.

"He needs his dad to." I smiled and grabbed FP's hand. We stayed there in the silence leaning into one another and enjoying are boy. "Could we have done it?" I asked looking up at FP.  "Done what?"

"Raised him from the start. Stayed together and been ok?" I sighed looking back at Charles. "I think we could have, but I also think we could just as easily do it now." FP brushed his thumb over my cheek looking deep into my eyes.

"I miss you." FP inched closer. "I miss you so much." Another tear slipped down my cheek and FP wiped it away before slowly bringing our lips together. I kissed back missing the feeling of his lips. "No no." Charles laughed and tugged at my hair.

"But I love you and your daddy." I smiled and covered his face with kisses. He giggled and FP joined in. "You just want all you mommies kisses huh?" He laughed and held me tighter. "I love you Al."
"I love you to Jonesy."

{at the top is where the song 'dirty laundry' by Carrie Underwood came in if anyone noticed, but I added the bottom to make it longer😊}
