He was a boy she was a girl can I make it anymore obvious
The two young teens walked the halls of riverdale high everyday...I guess you can't call them young. It's their senior year, the last chance to tell the truth.
He was a punk
She did ballet
What more can I sayAlice grew up in her fancy neighborhood with her preppy friends and family, while FP grew up in a trailer park with his father. The two world were completely different but their hearts were the same...big
He wanted her
She'd never tell
Secretly she wanted him as well
But all of her friends stuck up their noseThey could not keep their eyes off of one another. As they walked down the halls surrounded by their worlds Alice would secretly look over at FP with his friends messing around on their skateboards. She would sigh and turn back to the life she was born into.
He was a skater boy
She said, "see you later, boy"
He wasn't good enough for her
She had a pretty faceFP tried to gain her attention, but Alice's friends would never let them talk. "Hey Alice." He smiled walking up to the group of girls. "And you are?" One of them gave a snooty face. "Who cares, see you later." She scoffed turning away from the group. She walked ahead speeding into the bathroom so her tears weren't seen.
Five years from now
She sits at home
Feeding the baby, she's all alone
She turns on TV
Guess who she sees Skater boy rockin' up MTVSenior year went by in a flash. The two souls went their different way, that is until FP became a star. Alice sat at home being the perfect wife and mother...what she was groomed to be. She was feeding her first born Polly watching the news until she sees him...on stage singing a song he said he was going to one day...she never believed him.
they've all got tickets to see his show
She tags along
Stands in the crowd
Looks up at the man that she turned downHer friends drag her out of the house to see the new and hot artist. Of course non of them notice who it is. The boy they didn't care about, the boy she loved, the boy she turned down. How times have changed. Instead of the boy from the wrong side of town chasing after the princess, he was out living his best life with his family...a real loving family.
He was a skater boy
She said, "see you later, boy"
He wasn't good enough for her
Now he's a super star
Slammin' on his guitar
Does your pretty face see what he's worth
