Being sheriff wasn't always the best job in town. FP tried to make everyone happy, but being in Riverdale that was never possible. Especially when Hiram Lodge, the crazy mastermind of the town, was your boss.
He sighed as he picked up the pile of paper work he had to take home. He knew Alice would be home already probably waiting for him. It was Friday night and all the kids were out of the house.
FP hopes Alice wouldn't be too mad.
He closed the door behind him softly. The best thing that could happen to him was to find Alice asleep...but he has never been that lucky.
"Hi babe. How was your day?" Alice smiled as she stood up from the couch. Her smile faded when her eyes drifted to the pile of files in FP's hand. "You have to work don't you." She pouted her lips and crossed her arms over her stomach."I'm sorry Al. Hiram wants these files done early and I don't want to know what happens if they aren't done." He sighed and placed the files on the kitchen table. "Since when do you care what Hiram thinks?" She raised her eyebrows at him.
"I don't. I just don't want Riverdale to become a complete shit whole." He shrugged and opened his laptop getting ready for a rough night. "Now that sounds more like you." Alice smiled and kissed his cheek before wandering into the kitchen.
FP tried to focus on the computer screen, but he could hear and smell Alice cooking in the kitchen. He heard the stove fire up and a pot being set on it. His last indicator was listening to noodles going into the boiling water...she was making his favorite meal.
He peaked into the kitchen to see Alice in his flannel. How he didn't notice this outfit choice before he has no idea, but now he was engrossed in her. The sight of her cooking for him in his clothes just amazed him.
"If you are trying to distract me it's working." He smirked as her smile grew wider. "Well I wasn't, but I'm glad an old shirt has this effect on you." She chuckled finishing up dinner. "Eat up. I leave so you can focus." She kissed his cheek walking away until FP caught her hand.
He pulled her close kissing her the right way for the first time tonight. She swayed her hips walking into the living room. If he is going to be working tonight might as well put him in a good mood.

Alice lasted a whole hour before she started to become antsy. In her defense it is Friday night and they have the house to themselves, which lately is a rare occurrence. She crept her way into the dinning room doorway. She smiled seeing FP stare hard into the screen with his glasses. She's tried to tell him his prescription needs to be updated, but he's to stubborn to get it changed.
She wrapped her arms around his shoulder placing her chin on his shoulder. "Yes Al?" FP smiled. He's honestly impressed she lasted this long. "Nothing I just miss you." She kissed his neck hoping he would loose focus and give up completely. "I wish I was with you right now too." He patted her arm.
She huffed into his neck. "Something wrong?"
"Yes. My boyfriend loves his work more than me." Alice's voice turned into a whiney toddler. "You know that's not true." FP chuckled moving to face her. "Well than stop working." She challenged.
He shook his head with a smirk. "C'mere, you can sit on my lap until I'm done working."
She smiled satistfied for the moment. Instead of bothering FP she started to become interested in learning about the town...through jail records. "I didn't know Mary had a public indecency charge!" Alice's eyes became wide learning this new fact.
"Ya. Her and her new girlfriend love each other...a lot." He chuckled. He still can't believe sweet Mary was an exhibitionist. "We can't talk. After all these years we should have several charges." Alice smirked turning around to face him.
"Good thing I'm the sheriff." He smirked and kissed her neck.
"But seriously you would be surprised how normal this town is. I get regular charges everyday, but I try not to charge a lot of people. It's just like I can't turn off making people happy. I like giving people what they want"
"Oh, so you can make other people happy but not me." Alice smirked and wiggled in his lap. "Al I'm almost done." He coughed trying not to feel her movement. "Well you can't turn on what I want." She crossed her arms and moved to stand.
"All right, all right! I'll finish in the morning."
Alice giggled happily, her plan worked. FP picked her up by the waist and ran to their bedroom. Those last couple of cases were going to have to wait until the morning.
