The Servamp of Fear (A Servamp Spin-off Story)

"Say what?!?" "Please calm down miss-" "My name is Ririi Fujimori." Rose cringed at Ririi's sudden annoyed expression. She did not seem happy at all. "Ah yes, Ririi, now this is all quite simple." "And please, do tell me how this is all 'quite simple.'" "Well-" Rose seemed frightened by the gingers tone of voice but continued to explain with a slight shake in her tone. "Y-you see I am a vampire; a servant vampire- a Servamp if you will. After we drink our Eve's blood, we must obey them."

"So, why are you here?" Ririi looked at Rose puzzled. as she waited for her vampire guest to speak she picked up the almost forgotten journal on the floor. "Well, you see...I saw you as a potential Eve, that's a master who takes up a contract with a Servamp...you also picked me up and took me home with you. However, if you wish not to be my eve, the contract will automatically be canceled if you go 24 hours without saying my name in my human form." "So, what is your name exactly? I only know the name I gave you; Rose."

Without any warning, a glowing purple chain surrounded Ririi's wrist, and another surrounded Rose's neck, then disappeared. "W-what just happened?" Ririi Looked down at Rose in horror. "You just made a slight contract with me, however, do not worry, if I drink your blood it will become permanent, so for now it is not. But there are some rules now. We can be separated from each other for more than two days and in the distance of a town, unlike regular Servamps who can't go 24 hours without their Eve and can be no more than mere feet away from one another. So, in simple terms, you're stuck with me for now." "Well, first off, how and why did you choose me as your Eve?" Ririi tapped her foot on the floor; irritated and angry at this point. 

"Well, I suppose it all started when you gave me this poncho, it's-" "Don't tell me, it's some sort of 'Eve thing' Right?" Rose nods, "Yes, it's a contract item, once an Eve or a future Eve gives the item to a Servamp, a bond is created. You gave this poncho to me, then you came back for me and gave me a name, finally,  you said my name in my human form, that's when the slight contract was created; however, if this item is destroyed my entire life could be at risk, and our contract would be no more. So, I'll keep it safe. If I can be honest for a moment, I honestly found you to be very interesting. You are the first human in years who's shown me any hint of kindness, and for that I am grateful. That is why I saw you as a potential eve. However, to create a permanent contract between us, I must drink some of your blood as I said earlier."

Swiftly Ririi walked into the living room and sat down on the couch, followed by Rose close behind. To Ririi nothing was making sense. Why did Rose make it sound like there are more 'Servant vampires' in the world? "Tell me, Rose, why do you make it seem like there are more Servamps other than yourself?" Rose giggled and walked around the living room on the heels of her boots. "Well you see, it's because there are more than myself, and technically I'm an off-brand of a Servamp." "Huh?"

"The story started long ago, a man created eight siblings called Servamps. These vampires were based on the seven deadly sins plus one more. Sloth, Pride, Envy, Wrath, Greed, Gluttony, Lust, and Melancholy. Which Melancholy was technically the last sibling to be created, he was not created to be a sin." Ririi nodded in understanding. "Yes continue." "You see; later in life, my creator studied in their creator's teachings and so he designed me to be just like them. I'm like the Servamp siblings, in a way, but I was created with flaws, that's why our contract is different and that's why I can't fly or float like normal vampires. I also use the term 'Servamp' even though I wasn't created by their creator." Rose paused. "Anyways, my creator-he designed me to help the Servamps overcome their fears. Therefore, I am the Servamp of Fear."

"So, you said you were created by this man, was he in any relation to the guy who created the Servamps, or was he just crazy?" "No, he only learned of the Servamps by some books he found. The Servamp siblings' creator stashed a book in an unknown library, in hopes one day someone would continue his creations. My master found them. so being curious my master did read the books. Finally, after researching and conducting experiments he created me: his first successful Servamp creation. However, my creator didn't want to fully copy the Servamp design, so instead of the seven deadly sins, I was based on the seven main emotions, I am Fear. " Rose paused and sighed debating to tell Ririi something. 'That's all she needs to know for now.'

Ririi, however, protested. "So, what happened to this guy? Your creator." Rose became quiet, something was up, but Ririi continued her shower of questions. "Ok, why were you a red panda when I met you and why do you look like a baby red panda when in your human form you look about my age?" Rose twirled a strand of her hair around her finger slightly frightened, it was as if Ririi spooked her. 

"Well every Servamp has an animal form, Sloth is a lion, Pride is a bat, Envy is a snake, Wrath is a wolf, Greed is a hedgehog, Gluttony is a Pig, Lust is a butterfly, and finally Melancholy is a Fox. So, it would only be fitting that I was an animal as well. Also, I look like a baby animal because I'm short, sadly I'm only 5'1, but I take that form because it's easier for me to get scraps of food." Ririi shook her head out of sadness and sorrow for the female vampire. its sad to know Rose was living off of other peoples scraps and not hot meals.

"Ok, so, you know everything about these guys, are you a slave for these Servamps?" "Not really, like these Servamps I can live my own life, I was just made to know all about them. It was a promise I made to my master, and I will keep the promise to help the siblings; but, If I'm being honest with myself...I was lonely, very lonely. That's why I wanted to have an eve. That's why I sought after you, the only human that has shown me kindness for a long time. Even though I am the Servamp of Fear, I have my own fears, my biggest fear is to be alone in this world. I wish not to be alone anymore. I wish to have companionship. I am quite shy but it's worth a try. I was scared to show myself once more to you, but I did anyway."

"So, you've never had an Eve? No master? No one?" Rose shook her head towards the ginger "No, never in my life. The only person that I've ever been in contact with was my creator. I wanted to seek out the Servamp siblings. However, it is complicated. I have been too frightened of humans to even set foot outside of the shadows, plus, not being able to fly doesn't help me either. Also, unlike most vampires, I can be out in the sun, but not for long." It was all a lie though, Rose's first eve was in fact someone very close to her, before their demise. 

"Is that why you lived in that box, in that dark, disgusting alleyway?" "That is slightly correct Ririi, I'm very sorry for troubling you. I will leave after the 24 hours are up if that is what you wish."

Ririi held her head. How could this happen to her, of all times? She just now got her life on track, everything was perfect. But, this vampire, she seemed; lonely. Ririi knew how that felt, ever since her mother and father died. She was all alone, no one would take her in, at least not until her cousin's parents and a kind man helped her out. Eve's seem as if they are these Servamps salvations, perhaps Ririi could be Rose's salvation.

"ok." Ririi walked over to Rose and smiled, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder. "How about this, I'll help you keep your promise to your master. I know how it is to keep promises. I too once made a promise, and I keep it every day that I go to school. I will help you find these Servamps and you can help them like you promised your creator. However, in return, you need to promise me something." Rose nodded. "Yes?" "You will not hurt me no matter what and promise me we'll be friends." Ririi smiled down at Rose who seemed stunned.

"I-I never had a friend before. How can I promise you something if I don't know how-" Ririi's lighthearted giggling interrupted Rose's Fearful blabbering. "It's ok Rose, I'll help you, and in return, you can help me with this Eve thing? Besides, I wanted a little adventure in my life, having a vampire as a pet is adventurous." Ririi held out her hand to Rose waiting for an answer. "I'll try my best Ririi, just as long as you try your best." Rose changed back into a Red Panda and walked up to Ririi. With a tiny bite of Ririi's hand and a tiny lick of her blood, Ririi became Rose's Eve and Rose became Ririi's Servamp. Ririi's life was changing dramatically, but at what cost?
