The full moon appeared high overhead, awaking from her foggy slumber. Rose ran her fingers over the holes left by the Katana. She was stabbed by Ratchet at least seven times. Most likely symbolizing herself and her six other off-brand siblings. A dark pool of blood welled over her chest.
"The moon...it is so pretty tonight...it is similar to the one that night...the night I lost everything...I suppose...time repeats itself..." Her eyes grew heavy once more.
"I wonder...will I die here...amongst the moon gazing down upon me..." just before darkness envelops Rose once more, her hazy vision could make out someone above her. The mysterious person gently leans her up. They held Rose in their arms as if they were holding a porcelain doll; and just like that, her vision cleared. The only thing that she could see was him. The man that she still loved. Tsubaki.
Tsubaki was afraid, Rose was dying, and he knew it. "Dearest Rose everything is going to be okay. We will bring you back to the hotel that I rent for my subclass family. There maybe we can cure you...your wounds will be more than just scars." His lip trembled, he smiled even though he was shaking.
"No," Rose says, "I don't want you to see this...to see me like this."
But, Tsubaki never looked away from her. He just held her for what seemed like an eternity. He eased her up into his lap and kept his right hand underneath her head. Her hair was soft, but but matted down by blood.
"i-is it finally o-over...?" "Yes dear Rose, Youve done it!" Tsubaki smiled while tears trickled down his cheeks. "I saved you...and the Servamps...their Eves...Ririi...My family..." Tsubaki smiled down at her. "Yes. You did." She smiled back up at him, but even though she smiled, he could see the pain that hid behind it. But that didn't matter. What mattered was Rose looking up at him.
Belkia knelt beside Tsubaki, his smile was fake as well "hey, Rosie, when we get home how about I show you some new card tricks. I've been practicing."
"yes..." Rose weakly looked towards the mansion which was in ruins then to everyone. She was starting to become heavier by the second. "Tsubaki..." Rose gently placed her hand on his cheek "you asked me...if I was afraid of death..." Tsubaki's eyes shot open
The memory of their time in the park flickered in and out. "yes, I remember, what are you saying Rose?" But as he felt Rose's fingers slide off his face he knew that the time was coming. "there has to be a way Rose...w-what if I would turn you into my subclass?" "I-it wouldn't work Tsubaki..."
Rose looked up at Tsubaki. His eyes were red and cool, but held pain, sorrow and guilt in them. When she looked into his eyes the pain seemed to fade away, but in an instant, it returned.
Small tears slid down her rosy red cheeks, she knew her end was coming. "Tsubaki...will you...wait for me..." she gasped for air and looked up at him with more tears in her eyes "T-Tsubaki...I don't know...if you loved me...but...I loved you...with my whole heart..."
Her eyes became a hollow shell of what they once were. The glow was gone. She looked up at Tsubaki and Belkia "t-tell...Ririi...t-thank you f-for picking me up...that day..."
Ririi was there behind Tsubaki along with everyone else. They watched as Rose glimpsed up at Tsubaki once more before the darkness consumed her one last time.
Her body went limp while her head rolled back. Her mouth was agape while her hand slid off her body hitting the earth below. Her eyes became dead, the red faded away and her orbs became green.
The wind softly blew and ever so softly it whispered a poem,
As the sun sets to night, the rose dies,
Someone watered it with horrible lies.
As the soft petals blacken and wither up,
Dark water slowly fills the rose's cup.
The rose turned from red to black,
The rose could never go back.
The black rose sat solemnly alone,
None will see it for it is unknown.
It's thorns fall to the hard ground,
Never once did they make a sound.
The Rose screams and starts crying,
It is frightened for it is dying.
The dark storm clouds appear,
Everything stays all but fear.
the fright had all but vanished,
the terror had been banished.
The rose watched the rain sadly,
The black rose was hurt badly.
The rain created a sea to wash her away,
The dead rose will be found another day.
But do not cry for the rose is at peace,
For it heard love and never cease.
Until then the rose will be left alone at sea,
But secretly, the black rose was me.
(that was the end of that chapter, sorry if this triggers you guys! i wrote the poem when i was going through some tough times.)
