Chapter 22 What You Did (edited)

Rose sat in the main living room watching Tsubaki sleep on the couch in his fox form. It was the first time in a few days he's been so silent and peaceful. Usually at night when he stayed over at the mansion he would sneak into Rose's room and cuddle up beside her. But she never minded it. Secretly she was falling in love with the crazy Servamp. He made her feel happy and surprisingly she wasn't afraid of him anymore, she loved his craziness. She loved everything about him. She loved...him. But she was not supposed to. She was created to help all the Servamps. She was not supposed to fall for one of them.

It was true if a Servamp did fall in love with someone that love would last for eternity. If a Servamp fell in love with a human, the human would eventually die off, leaving the Servamp in an endless cycle of pain. But this was different, Rose was immortal, for the most part. If she was to be together with Tsubaki they would stay together forever, but that could be a problem. Tsubaki was a man who became bored very easily. If he were to become bored of Rose, then he would probably go out and try to find someone who interested him more. There were many complications. These feelings started to become too big of a problem. Rose sighed in annoyance then jumped when bickering erupted from the other room.

Ririi was quickly following Mikuni. His whole character changed from happy and energetic to serious and angry. He was determined that Ririi needed a weapon, yet she wanted to know why. "W-What's the big deal me not having a weapon Mikuni? I'm perfectly fine!" "No, you're not!" Mikuni swiftly turned to face Ririi, "There's an evil rising, my old colleague from C3 sent me a letter a week ago explaining that Fears brother is becoming unstable. He's been locked up in a prison cell for as long as I can remember, but he's gettin' stronger. C3 would have killed him by now, showing that much power, but for some reason, C3 can't kill him. Only Servamps can kill each other. Look, Ratchet is dangerous, and I want to protect you darlin'. If I'm not around I want to know that you can protect yourself."

Ririi gasped and looked into Mikuni's eyes, tears threatening to spill out of her cheeks. For once in her life she was afraid. She was afraid of death and to lose everyone dear to her. She was afraid of that monster: Ratchet. "Mikuni, why would C3 try to keep something like him in their facilities?" "They wanted to see how strong he was, and he is a very strong Vampire. They wanted him for research. The members of C3 could never kill him. I believe only his sister can destroy him. But, I don't think Rose is strong enough to do it. We've never seen her fight before and judging from her posture I don't think she's ever seen herself fight before either."

"Yes, I understand Mikuni, but you shouldn't doubt my Servamp. I will ask her for a weapon and hopefully, she can give me one." Ririi opened the door to the living room. "Okay, here we go." Ririi sighed and walked in step with Mikuni. Mikuni strutted towards Rose, grabbing her shoulder harshly. "Fear do you have the ability to give Ririi a weapon?" "Um, I don't really know why?" "Great, just great..." Mikuni shook his head in doubt, "This isn't good. okay, at least try. Because she needs a weapon." "Why does Ririi need a weapon? Did someone hurt her?" Mahiru and Kuro walked into the room followed by the others. "N-No, j-just listen to me guys. Tsurugi sent me a letter explaining that Rose's brother is getting stronger and the cell that C3 has him in won't last long! and Ririi needs to be able to protect herself."

Rose looked down at her hands, "Even if I did know how to give her a weapon I don't know if it would be enough to protect her from Ratchet. He was strong the first time we met, but like myself he has flaws. He's not immortal and the only way to kill my brother is if I kill him... I should have killed him long ago but..." Rose Sighed. "I was too scared... but, now his goal is to kill me and all the Servamps. As my mission to protect you all, I will destroy him...But, for now, I need to give my eve a weapon. After all, she might need it." Rose looked at Ririi then towards the Servamps. "However, I will need help. I don't really know how to do this on my own." Tetsu looked at Rose up and down, "But, why can't you go and kill him in the C3 base? He's helpless in that cell." Rose shook her head, "At this point, I don't think it's possible." Mikuni put a hand on Tetsu's shoulder "I've seen the guy, he's strong, even with restraints he is powerful, and if Rose went up there then she would probably be walkin' into a trap. Not to mention, we've never seen Fear fight."

Jeje nodded to Tetsu, just then Misono pipped up in anger. "Mikuni you bastard, if this Servamp was at the C3 base then why didn't you tell us? Why were you even back there? You abandoned that organization years ago." Mikuni kept quiet. "Misono...there's a lot of things you don't need to know about me." "Like how you killed our mother Mikuni, or how you left me behind?!?" Mikuni froze when his brother mentioned that fateful day. Misono watched his brother fall to his knees, everything seemed to be frozen in place. It felt as if they were the only two in the room, everyone seemed to disappear into the shadows. "Misono..." Lily went to put a gentle hand on his Eve's shoulder but Misono only shook it off.

"Leave me be Lily, this needs to be said!" Misono glared at his brother who watched him with tears threatening to fall from his eyes, "Mikuni, you claim to be our friend, you claim that you want to help me, but you never do Mikuni. You lie, you cheat you do what's best for you! You never take into consideration how I feel! If you told us where he was then maybe the problem would have been solved by now, maybe then we would be free of having to deal with this evil. I want to protect everyone, not put their lives on the line! This information is important! Why did you not say anything sooner?" Mikuni pipped up, "Rose probably knew where he was! she can feel him, right?" "I Had no clue where he was Mikuni, if I did know then I could have gone there and taken care of it years ago, but now we're all in grave danger! If he gets out of that base, then terrible things will happen!"

Rose and Misono glared at Mikuni, it was now the blame game. Everyone started to yell at one another, everyone was blaming each other. "Enough!" Licht was the one who screamed over the rest. It was odd because usually, Licht was the one who was calm and collected. But, not this time. "Why are we fighting. Were all friends here. Who cares about how this could have happened. It's in the past and now is the future. Were all in danger. Let's just help Rose and Ririi as much as we can. This Ratchet guy is evil and he's coming. We need to be ready for him." "angel babe is right guys, this is stupid." Hyde stood beside Tsubaki who had hold of his scarf. "We need to stick together and become stronger. Now let's hurry before something bad happens."

Misono stood beside Ririi who looked saddened, "Misono, what happened? Why did you snap like that? Why have you been acting so weird lately?" "It's because he's back, it's because You don't deserve to be hurt, and I know Mikuni. He will hurt you. In the end, Ririi, he hurts everyone. I should know. After he killed our mother, he went away. He had nothing else to do with our family. Everyone acted as if Mikuni never even existed...yet, day in and day out I waited for my brother to return, only to find that he would never return to our home. He left with Jeje when he was a teenager, I never saw him until a few years back..." Tears were threatening to spill from Misono's eyes.

'This isn't the Mikuni I thought I knew. I never even knew he had a brother until I met Misono just a few days ago.' Ririi placed a gentle hand on Misono's back and brought the 16-year-old close to her chest. "Don't worry Misono, I can take care of myself. Mikuni is a strange man, but I know how to handle him..." "But can you actually trust my brother? Because I know I cannot. I don't want anyone else to get hurt because of him." Ririi sighed and hugged Misono tighter. "For now, let's put the matter behind us. I need to get a weapon. We will talk more about the matter later."
