Chapter 48 Did It Work (edited)

Ririi whimpered and cried "ROSE!" Her tears fell like waterfalls. "How could this happen?!?" Ririi hid her face in Mikuni's chest as he held her close.

Rose was gone. Ririi's best friend was lying dead in Tsubaki's arms. "This is your fault!" Ririi growled at Tsubaki, "first you took away my mom and dad and now you take away my best friend! What else will you take away from me?!?" Ririi cried out and grabbed a nearby rock chucking it at Tsubaki's head.

With a loud crunch the Rock hit Tsubaki's head. Blood trickled down the said mans hair, but he did not flinch nor say anything back. He was frozen in place. His eyes still locked with Rose's dead green eyes. "Dearest...Rose..."

Thunder boomed throughout the city, Lightning flashed and just as Tsubaki cried out rain started to pour out of the sky. "ROSE!!!!!" Tsubaki screamed to the heavens while holding the dead body in his arms. thunder rolled and lightning crackled accross the sky. "this cant be real! This is just a dream! She can't be dead!" he squeezed her against his chest and cried into her cold shoulder. He rocked back and forth like a mad man. Belkia just watched in sorrow, not just for Tsubaki but also for the deceased Rose.

Kuro watched his younger brother, it was deja vu. As Tsubaki cried out in anguish Kuro walked towards his heartbroken brother "Tsubaki..." a gentle hand was placed on his shoulder. Tsubaki looked at his brother, he was truly heartbroken. His frown was broken, and his eyes had no life. "Let's take her back to the hotel...maybe we can have C3 to help."

"NO" Tsubaki glared up at his brother "I know what those monsters do to vampires. I will not let them take away my love."

"I can help my sister." Callein walked out of the crowd and in front of Tsubaki, Kuro and Belkia. "I know a way to bring her back."

Tsubaki glared darkly at the girl in front of him while rising to his feet. His dark stare never left hers "Why in the hell would I allow you to help Rose, you took part in killing her. I should cut your head off you where you stand..." "But who's weapon killed her Tsubaki, yours or mine." Tsubaki became silent, his gaze left hers as he looked down at Rose. "Why would you help? After everything you did..." "like I said before, just like Rose it is my duty to help you Servamps. while she was able to help you overcome your fears I was created to help bring you happiness and joy."

Belkia looked up at the lovely woman, "What is your point?" "If Rose makes Tsubaki happy, maybe I can bring her back from the dead. I don't know how well it would work knowing that she is already dead and a type of off-brand Servamp, but it's worth a try right?"

Tsubaki shook his head and motioned Callein to come towards him. "Help her, please. I don't care what the consequences are. Just...bring her back to life..."

Callein nodded and put a hand on her sister's chest. A light hue surrounded Rose's body, but it faded instantly.

"Did it work?" "I'm not for sure...like I said I don't know if it will work." Everyone sighed and some groaned. Hegan placed a hand on his master's shoulder "It may just take time. Let's take her back to the hotel. Maybe she will wake up in a few days."
