Woa... holy heck... I didn't realize that this 50th chapter already came...

Well,

*cue piano music*

It all started as a list of my favorite ships. Then a punk ass PaperFresh thing. Then came drafts I could not finish for the life of me. Then a Creammare vent that's no longer relevant to my life. And more drafts.

Then came a Dreamswap fic, Pregnancy, which explained some new headcanons I had made, that still needs to be updated. As time went on, Dreamswap soon became my heart, my soul, the thing that revolves around my life.

Here I am, at 50 posted chapters.

Now, without further ado...

LET'S TURN THIS BITCH INTO A BURIAL!!!

~~~
Error did not want to go out. He was wary about being caught by JR, but Nightmare made very good points. There was a huge heat wave that hit the AU they "lived" at, and without proper running water they had nothing to drink or cool off with.
Now Error was in an AU that was in California... he couldn't find his glasses for the life of him and he wanted to have them before he left the house, but he was unlucky.
Kevin clucked lightly, his head twitching at every car that passed (or, to put it shortly, constantly). Nightmare caressed the rooster's head, causing the bird to close his eyes and relax. People that passed by probably thought they were hicks from potato land, but damnit, they weren't going to neglect a pet and leave it at the overheated house.
"Phew... it must be summer here..." Nightmare waved a hand to cool himself. It wasn't very effective, but it was better then nothing at least. They had been able to panhandle a little bit of some weird papery currency, which people called a "Duller"...
In this strange AU, Error seemed to have sharper instincts then he is used to. His sense of smell was better- much better. He could smell what time people were around, their gender, some sickly sweet smells that would otherwise be covered up by city stink... his night vision increased as well, considering alleys weren't as dark and creepy, either. The bad part was, he had a strange craving for something he's likely never had before.
"What should we get to drink?" Error asked. Nightmare shrugged, "What can we get despite our low budget?"
Of course, Error didn't know how to answer that. Until...
"Oh- Look, some place advertising large drinks for eighty nine c... whatever that means", Nightmare pointed out. The duo walked up to, while they didn't know it, a circle K.
"So..." Error started, "How do we know if we have enough money?"
"Guess", Nightmare smirked, "cause I have zero idea what I'm doing." And, with that, handed Error a five duller paper, whom stuffed it in his pocket.
"I'm not surprised by that, considering you don't most of the time", Error murmured. Nightmare didn't catch what he said as Error walked into the place.
His eyesight failing him, he squinted in search for where he could get drinks.Yes! The surroundings were more familiar, as there was a surprising amount of AUs with places like this. Well... they didn't sell three or more dullers a gallon of fastoline, but. Whatever. At least he wasn't an exact virgin to water fountains.
Except.
He was the perfect virgin for Cross.
Cross leaned on one of the bathroom doors, waiting for his off-break coworker to do... whatever people do in the bathroom. His eyes scanned the surroundings, more out of a trained habit then due to working. He resisted the urge to yawn as there was nothing very interesting to look at.
His eyes shot at the opening door to the gas station. A dark-boned skeleton came into the building. He looked... familiar. Cross couldn't exactly identify him, though. Something was off.
The familiar skeleton looked around, making a beeline to the soda fountain. The figure grabbed three cups and filled them with whatever.
Cross walked away from the bathroom area and strode up to the skeleton. He didn't realize he did that, and he also didn't realize he said anything until the words came out.
"Hey, beautiful.~"
Error was so shocked he nearly dropped the drinks. The voice sounded familiar, but due to being flustered and embarrassed he couldn't pin down who it was. He could get a scent on the person, realizing it was a skeleton monster. "Um, h-hi..." feeling awkward in this situation, Error finished the drinks and went to the end of the cash register line. Cross followed him, "How are you doing?" He asked.
Error was at a loss for words, face flushing a scarlet. "E-erm", he stammered, "I'm good."
"That's good", Cross smiled, "say, where you from?"
Error had no idea how to answer.
The cashier lady rung him up, took the five duller and gave him one duller and some metal objects with letters, numbers and images on them. Error stuffed it in his other pocket, ending up realizing he had his glasses there the entire time. Going against the idea of putting them on, he grabbed the three drinks and walked away from the flirty skeleton. However, Cross still followed him, opening up the door.
Once Error was out in the parking lot, he started feeling uneasy about the monster following him. "Um, can you go away?" He asked. The skeleton was taken aback, but nodded and went away. After a few seconds, Error got out his glasses and put them on, his vision becoming clearer. He turned around to see the monster whom had been flustering him.
And froze on the spot, realizing it was someone from Justice Reigns.
He dashed away from the gas station and searched around for Nightmare, whom had turned a corner. "Nightmare, I saw someone from JR", he whisper-shouted. Nightmare nodded, "I spotted him."
"Shit", Error swore, "Did he-?"
"No, he didn't recognize you and he didn't see me", Nightmare smiled thankfully, "But we shouldn't risk staying here. If there's one, there's many. We might not be too lucky next time."
Error nodded, summoning up a portal (despite the shrieks of confused passbyers) and jumping through it followed by Nightmare. "That was a close call", he laughed as the portal closed. "By the way, what was he talking about?"
"Oh", Error put down the drinks onto the ground of the unknown AU's forest, "He, um, flirted with me", Error's face flushed and he played with a string on his cape.
Nightmare giggled for a second, before realizing Error wasn't joking, "wait, are you serious?" He asked, but without waiting for an answer he shrugged, "he probably did it to flatter you, make it more likely to capture you... I think."
"Erm, okay", Error reluctantly agreed.
Still, he felt flustered.
Very flustered.
