Oscar pulled up to his house with a sleeping Candice in the passengers seat. He looked over her tear stained face. He ran his thumb along the trails and sighed.
"What am I going to do with you?" Candice jolted out of her sleep and turned to Home bewildered. When she recognized that it was Oscar she relaxed. Reality sunk in and she unhooked her seatbelt.
"What's wrong?" Oscar asked. Candice gave him a half hearted smile and hopped out the car. I shouldn't have done that. I shouldn't have opened myself back up to Oscar. I should have just let him go with the necklace and shouldn't have made a big deal out of it. Why am I so stupid. Oscar hopped out the car and ran around to her side. There was no one out on the front porch.
"Where are you going?" He yelled.
"Home," Candice grabbed her bag and closed the car door.
"So you're just going to walk off like that?" Oscar said stepping in front of her. Her heart fluttered as she got the inclination to kiss him.
"I can't do this, I shouldn't have come back for the necklace," she said and stepped around him.
"Not even for our son?" Oscar said. Candice paused in her tracks. Candice whipped around.
"That's not fair Oscar and you know it," she said through gritted teeth.
"That's the only thing you kept...that necklace?" Oscar tossed the necklace at her feet and shook his head. This was the reason we shouldn't be together again. Candice picked up the necklace and turned. Oscar watched her walk away from him. Her body became smaller and smaller and soon she was out of sight.

"Hey guys what's up?" Candice said plopping down onto the bench. The crew all looked at her with wide eyes.
"I thought you weren't speaking to us?" Jamal said. Candice grimaced and then replaced it with a smile.
"Well, I'm talking now aren't I? So, how have you all been?" She repeated. Everyone looked around the table with cold glares. Everyone except Olivia.
"Things have been a little shady around here if you ask me. I would stay for to long someone might want to ambush you or push you in front of a bus," Ruby said mugging Monse and Cesar.
Jamal wiped his hands on his shirt and stood.
"Well, I'm getting ready for the game. See you losers," with that he left. Candice looked around and paused on Cesar whose face was red and concerned.
"You ok Cesar?" Candice asked. Cesar blinked and then recoiled. Candice looked at him strangely. He looked as though he wanted to say something but was too scared to.
"I have to talk to you later," he said. Monse raised an eyebrow and shook her head.
"Ok."

The sea of red went wild in the bleachers. Candice balanced a hotdog in one hand and three waters in another. Climbing the bleachers she noticed two of her old friends from last year.
"Juliana, Farrah how are you guys?" She asked. Juliana looked over bored. Her blue eyes dull and almost colorless. Farrah turned and Candice noticed her large stomach.
"Candice how are you?" Farrah asked leaning over Juliana and hugging Candice the best she could.
"I'm well long time no see," she added gesturing to Farrah's stomach. Farrah touched her stomach lightly and smiled.
"Yeah she is so ready to come out," Farrah smiled. Juliana still said nothing.
"Well good seeing you," Candice said and walked up to the crew. They were all bickering about something. Candice slid between them and sat next to Cesar who looked defeated.
"So, What did you want to talk about?" Candice asked. Cesar looked around wearily and leaned into her ear.
"I don't think right now would be the right time." Candice nodded her head in agreement and turned to the game. Jamal was still on the bench.
"Fight! Fight!" Someone hollered. Sure enough a fight had erupted on the field. Candice stood up.
"They're ejecting all of the line up players!" Ruby shouted. This was true. Suddenly, Jamal was running out onto the field.
"Go Jamal!" Candice shouted. Cesar looked over at her.
"Come on Candice," he pulled her arm and led her down the bleachers behind everyone else.
"I heard you and Oscar arguing at my house," the words sent shivers down her spine. It wasn't shocking but more so unnerving.
"I won't tell anyone," he quickly added. Candice crossed her arms angrily.
"We're not together," Candice said. Cesar threw his hands up in defense.
"Well, it seemed as if you guys were," he said,
"So...I have a nephew named Elijah?" Candice face went blank just as Oscar began to walk over.
