"Damn Candice, What happened to your face?" Jasmine said loudly. Candice covered her left cheek with her hand. It was their lunch period and the two girls sat by themselves at a table in the corner. Jasmine shook her head. There was a large red mark under Candice's left eye, that was darkening into a purple hue.
"I was tossing a paper weight in the air and didn't catch it in time," she said. She bit into a fry and tried to ignore Jasmines glares.
"Ok, oh! Look," Jasmine pushed up her boobs, "there's my 2:45 appointment." Candice turned and caught eye of a senior. He was average height, with gorgeous green eyes, and a dark tan. Candice shook her head and watched as Jasmine sped walked over to him. Turning back to the table Candice pulled out her journal.

Chapter 3

In the thickets of the woods a pair of red eyes gleamed. Sarina took a cautious step back and quickly the rabid animal leaped out. Quick on her feet Sarina moved out of the way and pulled out her sword. The moons light reflected off the smooth surface. She relaxed her shoulders and readied herself to attack. This wasn't InuYasha.

Her journal was snatched out of her hand and she jumped up.
"Hey!" She yelled. She was taken aback and automatically sat down.
"What are you writing?" Oscar asked. Candice his her blush by looking down at her hands. There were people around so she snatched the book from Oscar, gathered her stuff, and sped walked away. As she turned the corner behind the school she paused and leaned on the wall. Seconds later Oscar strolled around grinning. This was their thing.
"How you feelin'?" He asked. She shrugged her shoulders. He bent down putting his hands on the sides of her budding stomach. He kissed he gently before resting his head on her belly. Candice sighed smiling but the sudden weight of everything pushed her smile into a frown. Oscar stood and wrapped her in his arms.
"It's going to be ok," he whispered in her hair. She cried silently into his shirt. Footsteps sounded becoming louder and louder. Candice broke away and started up the side of the building and fled through the side door.

"Hey baby, you're home early," her mom said. She sat at the table clipping coupons. Latrelle could be heard blasting his music up in his room.
"There was a Sub," Candice said walking up the steps. As she hit the top landing she noticed smoke coming out of her moms bedroom. She quickly walked towards her room.
"Oh so you not gonna speak?"
Candice tossed her backpack on the floor and sat at the edge of her bed. In the back of her mind fear slowly began to creep forward.  Even though her belly was small and easy to hide, under baggy t-shirts, she couldn't evade the inevitable. She was due in only three weeks.
