Your Words

Sorry for any mistakes, I wrote this one real quick because I was so mad. So frustrated. Watching people I thought I knew insult each other. Seeing others hurt that still laugh. It's gross. If you have a friend you think doesn't take insults badly, you're either super lucky or you're hurting them. Seriously hurting them.

They make messes and ruin my things and think its okay, that they're not insulting me, it's supposedly a joke, and I'll take it as one, making bad jokes and implementing me in them. That's one of the biggest reasons I'm relieved school's almost over. Here's the result of my frustration:

------

Sticks and stones
Break bones
But words of spite
Break spirits

No longer feeling
Confident
Happy
Or safe

Because your words
Shot my soul
Your words
Slashed my resolve

You say them
So uncaringly
So offhandedly
Without noticing

How rude
You can be
How much
You break me

I'm your friend
You knew me
Your whole life
But never had the right

To insult
As a joke
To say 'ugly'
And think

I'll take it nicely
As a compliment
A joke
Because at one point

It's enough
Your words hurt
At one point
It's no longer a joke

Not funny
Anymore
Not a joke
For you to laugh at

And think
I'll laugh along
To a damned insult
Because

You'll never have the right
To insult me
And believe
I won't take it seriously

Friendship
is not an excuse
For you
To be rude

To be messy
And mean
To hurt me
For real

No matter
How close
We may be
Your words

Are knives
They're weapons
To either
Slash with

Or protect with
But
To think
Cutting someone

Won't hurt
You'd be insane
Absolutely
Insane

When I tell you
You shake it off
Saying
I'm uptight

That it's a joke
And I'm crazy
Because I got mad
At an insult

I want
To scream
To pull out
My hair

Out of
Pure frustration
Pure desperation
For you to understand

Your mouth is a gun
And you think
You won't kill
By pulling the trigger

You're a fool
An idiot
Your words
Hurt
